Suprised it was his knee. Won tickets to the game last night, and after the first play where a Panther bumped into him, and the play a few minutes later where Corvo ran into him, it looked like he pulled an abdominal muscles.

Vokoun to Carolina! No wait...Dipietro to Carolina! This is my Bruce Garrioch rumor generating post!
Ellis will probably give them a couple of strong starts in the short-term, but he's not a #1 guy at all and the Canes are in real trouble here. Ward generally faces a barrage of quality chances every game and has for years and now they'll either have to tighten it WAY up or they are going to need another quality goaltender and those aren't just hanging around waiting for a phone call.

Wow, this is the end of their playoff run. Even before it began.

I know this is a joke...but...ville5 wrote:Vokoun for Staal. Do It RS. Throw in Boychuk if you have to.
Boychuk is on waivers, to make room for Geno. And Carolina has already expressed interest in reacquiring him.

Looked like the Canes were starting to figure things out too. Guess they'll see if Dan Ellis can still carry a starters' load.
