Division 4, Andre...help me out here, is this the one where you pay to play and it's just a glorified beer league (maybe hold the "glorified" even)...I believe that's 6 tiers down from Sweden's top league (maybe 5)...I'm trying to think of an equivalent here without saying "organized house league" ...far worse than the Central League and the LNAH...probably a little below the FHL here, maybe? At least the FHL had Daigenais though...

I wouldn't necessarily call this pro...but good find.

Of note, the team he was transferred from is just called "Hanson Brothers" after the movie Slapshot. Nothing screams house league like a team called "Hanson Brothers"

Yeah, d4 is pretty much the equivalent of sub-single A. By definition it is pro since they do receive a check, but it's minimal. A friend of a friend played D4 over in Germany last year or maybe even 2009-10, and he was set up with housing and a small check. But yeah, it's basically a low, low single-A league that makes some of the early ECHL arenas look like the Montreal Forum.

There's some info on the lower Euro leagues at HFBoards.

Haha. Never heard of him.

And yeah tier 4 in Sweden is really, really low. It's 4-3-2-1-Allsvenskan-Elitserien (not counting the junior leagues).
