Godfather Warz Post Game Thread

Post by Sam's Drunk Dog »

Congrats again to NAN and the reds for winning Godfather Warz.

I start off with the roles:

To: mac5155

Congrats on your Warz role.

You are Sonny Corleone - Green Vig. You get a kill every even night starting night 2. You can save up a max of 1 unused shot to be used on any night. Only one kill on any night though.

For example if you choose not to make a kill night 2, you can make a kill on night 3 instead.

To: IrishEyes

Congrats on your Warz role.

You are Michael Corleone - Green Angel. You can protect someone every night, but you can only protect yourself for a maximum of two consecutive nights.

For example you can save yourself nights 1 and 2, but won't be able to save yourself night 3. You can again save yourself nights 4 and 5, but not 6. And so on.

To: PensFanInDC

Congrats on your Warz role.

You are Tom Hagen - Green Seer. You can investigate the role of a player every night.

To: slappybrown

Congrats on your Warz role.

You are Don Emilio Barzini - Red Alpha.

Your powers include being able to make a kill every night. You may also communicate with your fellow reds; Pavel Bure (Don Philip Tattaglia - Red Angel) and newarenanow (Virgil Sollozzo - Red Seer).

If you die, any remaining red will assume your powers.

To: Pavel Bure

Congrats on your Warz role.

You are Don Philip Tattaglia - Red Angel.

You may save a fellow player everynight but you may not save the same player on consecutive nights. You may also communicate with your fellow reds; slappybrown (Don Emilio Barzini- Red Alpha) and newarenanow (Virgil Sollozzo - Red Seer).

To: newarenanow

Congrats on your Warz role.

You are Virgil Sollozzo - Red Seer.

You may investigate the role of any player every even numbered night. You may also communicate with your fellow reds; slappybrown (Don Emilio Barzini- Red Alpha) and Pavel Bure (Don Philip Tattaglia - Red Angel).

To: Juice

Congrats on your Warz role.

You are Danny Ilaratto - FBI Informant.

Your goal is to win the game by infiltrating the Five Families and putting an end to organized crime in New York City.

You can recruit any player starting night 1. Then starting night 3, you can choose to recruit or save someone every odd numbered night. As an informant, I will also give you clues each night on who the role players are. The clues may or may not be helpful though.

Clues to the yellow players were as follows:

Night 1: I see your princess is not in this castle.
Night 2: Martin Van Buren is not a president.
Night 3: Barney Stinson Red Thanksgiving
Night 4: Green tinted sunglasses

I'll let you guess which player I was talking about.

And finally the PM to NAN upon his recruitment by canaan

To: newarenanow
Congratulations! You've been recruited by canaan to join his group of FBI informants. Since you are a red player I'll give you the option of remaining red and acting as a double agent for slappy or working as a double agent for canaan.

Let me know your choice.
As we know he chose to stay red.

Ha, IE never got her PM in it looks like, or she just chose not to protect anyone.

Very lucky.

I don't know the first two.

My post game comments:

Shaf really goofed by taking his vote off of nan. It led directly to his demise and Fredo being used as his game character.

I was surprised that canaan recruited nan, especially after I gave him a clue that slappy was red. I was even more surprised when nan decided to stay red. Nan still won, but I thought it would have been more fun to have him and canaan be on a team.

Other than the above roles, I had plans for two other roles. One player would be Don Cuneo and the other would be Don Stracci. Each night they would PM with the name of a person they wanted killed. If both player chose the same person, the player would be whacked. If either player was killed, the other would join the team that was going against the other team. Due to lack of sign ups I ditched these roles.

She actually chose not to protect anyone. It didn't really matter because she wasn't able to protect herself that night.

I would have protected someone, just for the fact that, if I chose to kill either Hammer or WK, and she had them protected, that would immediatly clear that person to her as she would know they didn't try to kill themselves. So you had two people you could trust and just have it come down to a 50/50 shot.

Correct on the last two. I'll give everyone else to the end of the day to guess. The clues don't have to be about role players, maybe just saying players are not RPs.

Is Night 1 me, since I like NES, and it's saying I'm not with the village?

Is Night 2 related to PFIDC?

I don't feel like waiting till tomorrow to give the answer for the second clue, so the answer is:

Spoiler:
MWB. Martin Van Buren initials are MVB, which is close to MWB. "is not president" means he is not a role player.

It took me 5 minutes to realize that I had made the biggest mistake in Warz history. Worst ever. So dumb....
