Tombstone Warz Game Thread

[Sam's Drunk Dog]

Welcome to the town of Tombstone.



This frontier town was recently founded to support the operations of the nearby silver mine. You are among the town’s first settlers. You are mostly former Northerners that have moved west to pursue your fortune as ranchers, shopkeepers, bartenders, and miners among other professions. But also among you are a group of rustlers, thieves, and murderers known as the Cowboys. The problem is that except for a red sash that the Cowboys wear concealed from view, these Cowboys look just like everyone else. The Cowboys, led by William "Curly Bill" Brocius, have terrorized other nearby towns and it’s just a matter of time before tragedy befalls Tombstone.

Luckily for the town, former lawman Wyatt Earp has arrived with some of his brothers. Unfortunately for you, he and his brothers have made it known that they are here to pursue their fortune just like everyone else, and do not want to get involved in policing the town for now at least. So for now, there is no local law enforcement.

It’s getting dark and it’s been a long, dangerous journey to Tombstone for everyone, so tonight the new citizens of Tombstone will rest. At least the law abiding ones…

Night One

MWB couldn’t sleep from a nightmare he had involving a red rattlesnake hiding in the bushes getting ready to kill him, so he decided to take a walk through the town to clear his head. As he turned the corner near the OK Corral, he heard some rustling in the bushes nearby. “It’s that red rattlesnake!” he thought as he quickly moved to his left to avoid it.

Instead of rattlesnake though, a bullet flew past his ear nearly hitting him. He quickly drew his six shooter, but there was no one to be found. He quickly returned home to safety. In the morning the news of the attempted murder during the night alarmed the townspeople. As MWB recalled his story it was clear to most that the Cowboys were involved. “A red rattlesnake!” one villager cried. “It must have been the Cowboys!”

The townspeople gathered at the newly built Schieffelin Hall Opera House and decided to hang one person a day until all the Cowboys have been sent to a shallow grave in the Boot Hill Cemetery.

Additionally, with the arrival of everyone last night, Tombstone became the biggest town in Cochise County, Arizona and the town has just been named the county seat. So the townspeople decide to elect a county sheriff. Since Tombstone has been infiltrated by cowboys, the only power the sheriff was granted is that his vote will count as the deciding vote in case of a tie at the deadline.

You may now make nominations on who you wish to be sheriff. Nominations must be seconded before someone can be considered for sheriff. You may not nominate yourself. The player with the majority of votes at the 8PM deadline will be named sheriff. A tie wil be settled by me. Once a sheriff is named, Day 1 will begin.
