Sherwood Wars has been canceled. Thanks to everyone who signed up.

It is England. 1198. The Normans have been in control of England for well over a hundred years. They are harsh rulers. The fancy Frenchmen bleed the people dry. They take everything the people have and then fight amongst themselves while the people watch the cornfields burn.

So it is in Nottinghamshire. The Sheriff rules virtually unchallenged and unhindered from Nottingham Castle, which borders the ancient Sherwood Forest. But Sherwood has its own secrets and will not given them up easily. There are parts of Sherwood which no soldier will go near. There are parts of it NO ONE will go near...

The time is coming when the Sheriff will BEG for help...

This game is based on Robin of Sherwood, a mid-80s British drama. You do not need to know anything about that series to play. In fact, you don't really even need to know anything about Robin Hood. It's just a regular Wars-type game.

We will start on MONDAY, August 2nd.

This game is very different than any of the quick games I've modded.

- Number of roles and what they are will NOT be revealed.
- 12-hour days and 12-hour nights. Real nights and weekends are excepted and will be dealt with in-game as the situation arises. Majority votes to lynch.
- I will be modding solo to start, but will try to pick up a co-mod from the early dead.
- Night-talking is aloud, but is discouraged as usual.

So that's it: please sign up if you would like to play. I don't care how many people sign up, but I will have to tweak roles and such depending on the numbers.

You're probably better off waiting a week or two until you can get real participation. With people going on vacation and/or taking breaks, it's going to be hard to get a full roster.

If there are enough people that really want to play, do some quick games in the meantime.

I can't really commit to a game this week, at least not in the early part of the week. I'm interested in the theme though, so if the game is delayed a bit, I'll play. Otherwise, it's not gonna happen.

i mean to be honest, my participation until september is always limited... i just try and do what i can. During the day phases, my PMs are usually sent early which ruins the integ of the game someitmes. idk. but it might be in my best interest to wait it out for a while... i figured after a short list id try and help the cause.

Yeah, I was going to postpone it until Wednesday, but there's no point in just doing that. I like small games (and large ones, too), but 13 players is just not enough. This game won't work at all with that few.

So I'm going to postpone it indefinitely. If someone wants to jump up and do his now, that's fine. But that's probably not going to work either.

I'll do a quick game or two if people would like to play. Let me know if there's interest.

Other people can do quick games, too, if they like. I like to play and will be in on any of them.
