Joe Mullen and Al Sims will not return as the head coach and assistant coach of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins for the 2006-07 season, it was announced Wednesday by Pittsburgh Penguins General Manager Ray Shero.
A search for a new coaching staff will begin immediately.

Can't say I'm disappointed. It never made any sense to me that Mullen wasn't good enough to keep as an assistant here, but somehow was the guy to coach all of your best prospects? Bringing in Sims to help was a good idea, but the situation was still less than ideal.
