He says all of this so we won't kill him tonight, then tomorrow when we go to kill him he is protected. That would save him and dagny for 2 more nights and then dagny a 3rd night as he would protect her again.

I'm not saying this is how it is...but i'm giving an example of what could be and how easily he could manipulate the system....

If we believe that Troy was truthful about him not being able to die, then dagny is unprotected. I don't think he would come out like that if she wasn't.
