I'm asking.

Spill the beans.
Ok, take it for what its worth, A friend of mine who works with a local Sports radio talk show here in So Cal
informed me today that the NHL has already started on the 07-08 schedule, with no change in teams.

He's VERY Reliable, again, take it for what its worth. Thats what i was told.
When the Pens were in bankruptcy, the NHL made 3 different schedules; one with them in Pittsburgh, one with them on the west coast and another without them at all in case the team was dissolved. So, the schedule being made isn't a big deal as far as the NHL is concerned.

Like i said, take it for what its worth.

the way i understood it is the DEAL is already done, and the NHL has already been notified. The two sides are ironing out small details and language and then the announcement will be made.

This sounds pretty DONE to me

I hope you're right SDPen, I think everyone is on needles and just exhausted from the "deal is done" the "deal is not done" flip flopping.

I just want the Pens to say it, then I will celebrate.

i'm confident what we talked about today was true,

My "friend" thinks i'm crazy because everytime we get together for lunch, all i do is talk Penguin hockey with him.

I've begged and pleaded for a week with him to see what he could find out.

He's pretty resourceful, and i believe what he told me today.

I would'nt say something, just to say it.

This has been a very delicate subject with my whole family here in San Diego.

I'm not doubting you SDPens, and I think you are right, it more of a mind over matter thing for me. I've been so excited and so down so many times, I just said I'm taking all news, good or bad, with a grain of salt until there is a PC and the Pens say it is a done deal.

If this is the " OFFICIAL " new arena thread, why isn't it Stickied to the top of the 1st page like the other 2 permanent threads?
