I do remember liking his Saturday columns when he was in the PG years ago. Very sarcastic and humorous. Now he sounds so cynical to the point where he's just boring.

Mack was less-than-diplomatic with ESPN Radio 1250 via his Twitter account after that whole thing fell apart, and he's also gone back and forth with Smizik a few times, which may have led to Smizik's bashing him as noted above.

In fact, I think this stemmed back to the demise of 1250 as well. Either by Twitter or the blog I linked, I seem to recall Mack taking some shots at Smizik for some of the comments Smizik made in light of the demise of ESPN Radio 1250.
