Re: 93.7 The Fan Now On
John Steigerwald was on the fan morning show. If there is a person that defines ungrateful, he is the man.
There are about 2198479035623985783429 yinzers who would kill to have a local sports job, and all he does is whine and talk about the good old days. Bah humbug.

Good luck with that. Who would want to pay to read his sour-ass rantings?RJW76 wrote:He's just trying to sell his bookKennyTheKangaroo wrote:John Steigerwald was on the fan morning show. If there is a person that defines ungrateful, he is the man.

I do remember liking his Saturday columns when he was in the PG years ago. Very sarcastic and humorous. Now he sounds so cynical to the point where he's just boring.Marshall Dylan wrote:Good luck with that. He's cynical to the point of bring offensive. At any minute when listening to him I expect him to rant against something that isn't "pc" to rant about.

He was ranting today about how he can't stand listening to female play-by-play announcers just because they are women.

Chris Mack canned at Clear Channel, then got OWNED via Smizik's blog:
* For the two or three of you following the career path of the talentless but venomous Chris Mack, he has been relieved of his part-time gig at Clear Channel. From what we hear, Mack kept telling his bosses he needed a commitment because he had another opportunity. They finally told him to take the other opportunity.

Talentless but venomous? Oh please. Feaglepuss should know better, given his dealings with Madden. As for talent, I liked Mack and thought he presented a good show.PensOnDVD wrote:Chris Mack canned at Clear Channel, then got OWNED via Smizik's blog:

Re: 93.7 The Fan Now On
Mack sheds some light on his situation here.
http://www.thechrismack.com/2010/12/tha ... lived.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Mack was less-than-diplomatic with ESPN Radio 1250 via his Twitter account after that whole thing fell apart, and he's also gone back and forth with Smizik a few times, which may have led to Smizik's bashing him as noted above.
In fact, I think this stemmed back to the demise of 1250 as well. Either by Twitter or the blog I linked, I seem to recall Mack taking some shots at Smizik for some of the comments Smizik made in light of the demise of ESPN Radio 1250.

Well they'd have to be decent friends, Crosby did attend Colby's wedding with the Stanley Cup as his g/f.Troy Loney wrote:Does ron cook know for a fact that crosby and armstong are "best friends"....he was really emphasizing that fact to make some stupid point about hockey.
