I'm not saying it's a smart idea.

I'm just saying it's possible.

PS - I answered you in another post. Ignore that answer. I'm pretty much just repeating myself in there. I didn't see the name when I responded! :D

Yes. Yes we are.
I'm laughing because they spent the entire regular season insisting that it was going to be different for Detroit this year than it was with Pittsburgh last year. All that is left to say is: :pop: .

I don't think so.

Now, if they offered him a deal worth $7.4M a year long term, and he rejected it, then yes.

They just couldn't afford him.

Although Chicago is their big rival, so they may be a little pissed.

12 years, $5M hit.

Detroits strategy is now going with other teams.

Chicago is screwed. They're going to lose so many good players and they still don't have a decent second line center.

First Michael Jackson.
Then Billy Mays.

And now Hossa to DET.

Don't know about the rest of you, but I'll be pouring one out for Hossa to DET tonight.

I don't think a $5.2M cap hit for Hossa is that bad. That is what we are paying Gonchar. And we still were able to sign Sid, Fluery, Malkin, and Staal. And still win the Cup.

5.2? Damn, I didn't see that. Another front load garbage contract that annoys my to no end, I guess. Too bad. I really liked Chicago.
