Are you sure? Somehow I thought that you believed Hossa could switch uniforms without repercussion.
I think that's why he was clarifying it for your benefit.

One thing's for sure, we'll know after this series if Hossa made the right decision if he left to win the Stanley Cup.

If you objectively look at the series it really could go either way. With the Wings not bein a hundred percent however it might tilt it in our direction a bit. We need to make hay in the first two games. Truthfully anything less than a split and I don't like our chances. I do think however we can at least secure one in Detroit.
Osgood has played pretty well also. I normally consider him successful due to a system that insulates him to a large extent. But he did step up a bit last night an has been pretty good these playoffs. We need to be on our game to beat this team wether they are healthy or not.

They already won one in Detroit in dramatic fashion during the regular season. This Pens team has it in them. We're splitting in Detroit.

I'm with you. At least a split is a must in Detroit. If we go down 2-0 against them, I think it's next to impossible to come back. I know we did it against the Caps, but we were the better team, and I didn't worry too much that we'd be done if we went down 2-0. It sucked, and I was nervous, but I didn't think it was over by any means.
But Detroit is a different animal. I personally think the winner of Game 1 has a big advantage since their won't be a lot of time to adjust and rest up for the loser.
This is going to be a great series, and hopefully the Pens come out on top.
Unlike last year, I think we are pretty even, and if they are injured, the slightly better team.

Keep talking Marion...I'm sure Brooks/Talbot have forgotten all about you and won't bring it up as locker room material

The Cup finals are more than enough motivation unto itself. If they need extra motivation I'd fear for this team.
