Those were the old days Dagny, when we could just root and talk hockey here.dagny wrote:Hmm... that made me decide to check mine. Three days late, but this is for you, Hossa! Looks like your "better team" is nursing a hangover!

Re: Hossa to DET
Hossa is maybe the best player right now on Detroit. Going to be a tough call who to re-up there next year. I think we should trade for MO and Malone, parlee that into the rights to sign Zett. Couple IC lights and we're in.

Re: Hossa to DET
It will be interesting to see what happens with who's going to stay in Detroit and who isn't. I agree with you, Ron -- Hossa is the only one on that team right now that's really playing like he gives a damn. The rest seem kind of half asleep. They're winning games but not dominating and steamrolling like they could be.
And this is fine with me.
And this is fine with me.

Did you notice how some websites are giving you the option of buying a t-shirt with a news headline on it? Maybe LGP should start this for thread titles. Who wouldn't want a Hossa to DET t-shirt?

Pfft. If it were settled in a steel cage match, HOssa to DET would Camel Clutch Racchi's Rug at, like, the 2 minute mark and walk out with the belt. Absolute no-show by Racchi's Rug.

The election is over, but Hossa is still in DET!

Re: Hossa to DET
"Obama-Biden vs McCain-Palin" is seriously flawed in context, comedy and readability; what Jerry Lewis refers to as the "Golden CCR Triumvirate of Entertainment." There's a reason the page views are laughable compared to HOssa to DET. Heck, HOssa to DET would get "Obama-Biden vs McCain-Palin" to submit with your basic arm-bar. "Obama-Biden vs McCain-Palin", while a nice addition to the fall viewing schedule, is out of its league.Corvidae wrote:"Obama-Biden vs McCain-Palin" would mess them both up.Eismann wrote: Pfft. Will they flip of his balding head is exposed ala Newman asking to try on a new hat recently bought from a flea market while trying to pick up a woman complimenting the hat?

Maybe letting Conklin go was the worst move.

Re: Hossa to DET
I think Detroit signing Conklin and thinking their goaltending problems were over was a terrible move.
