But since you brought it up....The only players that I can see in that deal would be Whitney or Staal. Possible, but very unlikely.

Sorry, I have become of the mind that all things on this board for the foreseeable future should be NHR.

Who's Hossa? The name is almost familiar, but not quite.

Okay. I'm going to try to help kill this thread.

One by one, everyone who has posted in here anytime in the recent past, or anyone who has come in here to post -- to type a simple "I will no longer post in this thread." (or something along those lines, as long as it's finalizing! No jokes or statements that will get response and start an actual...thread reviving conversation.) So let's do this and not post again.

Ready? Let's go.

I WILL NO LONGER POST IN THIS THREAD.

Doesn’t quite call for a 12-step program, but perhaps six will do….

Step 1 - We admitted that our Hossa thread had become unmanageable

Step 2 - Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves -- possibly Scotty Bowman or an Admin -- could restore us to sanity

Step 3 - Made a decision to turn this thread over to the care of Gary Roberts as we understood Gary Roberts

Step 4 - Made a searching and fearless inventory of all threads containing the name “Hossaâ€￾

Step 5 - Admitted to Gary, to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs. (Posted in NPR, of course.)

Step 6 - Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we vowed not to post in this thread for the next 24 hours, lest our motherboards be taken over by Miro Satan.

Hey! I didn't hardly ever even post in this thread & now, all these hundreds of pages later, it's being squeezed off & I have some news...sorta! I will just post this & then move off, only because I think it will warm hearts to think about what Arizona Republic's Jim Gintonia is pondering about.

M is for comrade Mercenary. :D
The Arizona Republic's Jim Gintonio is sounding what has already become a familiar refrain about the newest Red Wing, Marian Hossa. He claims that Hossa's signing with Detroit is proof positive (along with the signings of Jeff Finger by the Maple Leafs and the simple fact that there are a couple of teams that are over the league's "upper limit") that the NHL's GM's have gone wild:
snip
By the time the regular season rolls around, I might just post a sentence diagram-style breakdown of what constitutes the stock the Stock Marian Hossa story...And the GM's Gone Wild video includes exciting footage from last winter's GM's meetings in Naples, Florida, including such memorable scenes as, "Golf!" "Standing around and talking in hushed tones!" "Checking the Blackberry!" and "Burkey by the pool!" It ain't pretty.
Lot's of good stuff in between these quotes.

I have no ill feelings towards Hossa at all.

I'll still love watching the guy play and root for him unless he's playing the Pens.
