Barring a major injury, they look like a strong favorite

Did Hossa even give the Pens a chance to match this deal?

Maybe we can just get him at the trade deadline again, haha. seriously, how many times has a stacked detroit team been knocked out early in the playoffs?

I don't think Hossa wanted to be here. That is all.

Exactly, obviously he feels that his best chance at a cup is with the Wings. I don't think it was a matter of Shero wanting to match the offer.

I think I'd feel better about the whole situation if he just went and signed the biggest deal he could have gotten

*sigh* So much for this awesome taco salad I was going to have for lunch. I'm going into a corner to cry... because without Hossa, there's a chance for Jagr... I will definitely cry if they sign him.

It sucks but I wasn't really expecting him back. Kind of lame that it ended being Detroit though.

Thats all this deal can indicate. He wanted to play somewhere else. The Pens had room to pay him more than that for one year.

This stings, for sure. I was secretly really hoping he'd sign here. Now, like all other Wings, I hope for Sweet Revenge next June.
The chips should all start falling into place, now.

Hossa wants a ring. Best place to win one? Probably Detroit.

Wings are definitely the favorite again. But before we hand over the next Cup to them, keep in mind that they do have some age on them. It's a long season and stuff happens.
