You’d rather have Jake for 20+ meaningless game? He’s not resigning - not saying I love that return. But it is what it isejd43 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2024 3:32 pmGod I hope we aren’t getting Kakko. He has 11 points in 41 games this year for the rags. That would be a terrible trade to make. If that was the return I’d sooner just keep Jake.

Not a great return if the Rags win the cup though for sure. Better than getting nothing though.BlackNGold4Life wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2024 4:08 pmYou’d rather have Jake for 20+ meaningless game? if it was Kakko, Perrault and 1st, I'd be ok with that.

I’m just saying that i think Kakko isn’t what I had in mind for our future team. He can hardly score on a stack rangers team. Doesn’t give me much hope for him the rest of this year and beyond.pronovost19 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2024 4:14 pmNot a great return if the Rags win the cup though for sure. Imagine this scenario. The Pens ‘screw up’ the Jake situation and end up keeping him by slow playing too long. The Pens then go on an epic run to end the season and make the playoffs. Then, in game 7 Jake scores the winning goal and knocks out the Rangers (Hurricanes, add whoever you want here).

“ Hurricanes have been pushing hard with Pittsburgh on Guentzel. It would make sense that Bunting would be part of that package if Carolina can get a deal with the Penguins across the finish line.”

I’ve read that Carolina has a pretty deep farm system. Who would be a good get?

Re: 2024 NHL Trade Deadline Discussion
Bunting is 28 and about a .5 PPG guy. Is he FAST? Is he young? We need to get younger and faster. This is your one chance to make a splash and get younger and faster! Don't make Michael Bunting the prized return for Jake. Don't do it.

Bunting is someone a swap for Reilly Smith trade would have made sense.
Better be a big name in this deal otherwise.

Maybe taking Bunting back will net the Pens more prospects etc. Let's see the full deal.Dynasty1970 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2024 6:40 pm Bunting is 28 and about a .5 PPG guy. Is he FAST? Is he young? Me too. Especially if the Rangers dangled Perrault or Othmann in any form or fashion.Coffey Break wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2024 6:45 pm I have a feeling this is going to be an absolute disaster.

No one scratched tonight. Does that mean Smith and Rakell are staying?
