I agree. I feel like the taboo on trades in the division has become too extreme. The Pens obviously made important trades in the division leading up to the 90s Cups, and you're ruling out a quarter of the league and limiting the competition amongst bidders.

Gotta have Kakko or Chytil in return, preferably Chytil but I don't see them trading him even though he is out for the year.

I really think all this trade talk regarding Jake is a ruse. You hear five different opinions from five different “experts” as to where he’s going or not going. As I stated earlier, on Friday KD will state “we listened to offers but nothing appealed to us”. As other teams are making trades this limits our options.

The ever reliable TIOPS has a headline saying Vancouver tried to work out a multi-team trade to acquire both Guentzel and Zucker.

I do think Zucker is their fallback. You know FGMJR loves him some Zucker.

So it seems like Vancouver, Carolina and Rangers are the favorites for Jake. Freidman speculating that the Rangers have the assets to get Jake, but thinks they prefer to use some of them at center.

All it takes is 2 teams to create a bidding war! Let's go Carolina and Vancouver.
