Montreal seems fast with good sticks. Seems like you have to be physical and punish on the forecheck, which means we are in big trouble because we don’t come close to sniffing that approach.

An awful period.Weak effort,disorganized defensive zone coverage,sloppy play.2 bad Goals allowed from Ned.
So many bad decisions with the puck made worse by lack of any decent support after these mistakes.
The continued terrible 1st Periods are inexcusable.From puck drop this team wasn't ready to play.Sully not getting this attended to 27 Games in.

If the Pens are going to lose at least play fun hockey. I want to see Karlsson being a maestro out there, like he was at the beginning of the season. Now he just looks like Justin Schultz.

Wow so I just checked and I believe Matheson put up 47 points in 118 games here and has now 54 points in 77 games for Montreal. So strange how these players keep leaving here as garbage and then produce and fit so much better elsewhere. Must be the climate because there obviously can't be any other common factor that impacts players not "fitting" here.

Matheson got moved unfairly IMHO due to all the goals that bounced in off of him in the Playoff Loss to the Rags.They thought that Jeff Petry,an older less talented D-Man was a better option.For some reason they were enamored over Petry's performance against them in the Playoff Loss in the CoVid Season.

I imagine he’s so focused on defense that he’s forgetting what made him special as a player. The Sullivan touch with offense first players.
