Carter wins the draw, players change, Penguins give puck away. Other guys can win faceoffs, Sully. The amount of effort to take to win the faceoff and change two players isn't worth the potential gain.

That's the best I've seen a Pens goalie play in a long, long time.

And that may be the worst game I've seen the rest of the team play in 3 or 4 years. They were putrid tonight.

Well, a lot of that is the fault of the team, not the format. Only the Sullivan coached Pens could win the opening faceoff, control the puck for almost the first full minute of overtime, and never come close to even attempting a shot.

I never root for this team to lose but it’s painfully obvious what needs to be done. If this loss , or a couple more make it happen then so be it.

Getting a point out that lousy effort is a moral victory and a testament to how well Ned played while several Pens seemed very disinterested tonight.

Sid & Jake both go deep and leave Letang & Ned out to dry. There are some serious issues with the team. Can’t blame the goaltending.

Man, was that awful. It seemed like the Pens couldn't generate any good looks in the 3v3, but the Flyers had a good chance whenever they touched the puck. I guess the glass half full take is that they are getting better at at least securing a loser point when they don't play that well. Of course, the glass half empty take is that they're playing poorly quite frequently.
