Want another example of goal scoring being up in the NHL. Bob's shutout tonight is only the 4th shutout in the playoffs (Oettinger has 1, Schmid has 2).
Last year, there were 11 playoff shutouts.
20-21, there were 12 playoff shutouts (Vasy with 5)
19-20, there were 23 playoff shutouts
18-19, there were 9 playoff shutouts
17-18, there were 14 playoff shutouts
16-17, there were 13 playoff shutouts
15-16, there were 13 playoff shutouts

2018-2019 is currently the only season in the salary cap era with less than 10 playoff shutouts. This year appears to be trending to set the new low bar, both an indication of more scoring, less defense, and a trend I've been touting for awhile...very few high quality goalies in the league.

I don't see Florida blowing 4 straight games. Now, things will get interesting if Barkov misses some games.

Florida Vs. Nevada. Licensed gaming, each state. Retirement living structures, each. Golf cars, state registration, each. Always focused on Cops TV show, each. Stripper establishment, in high quantity, each.

Go, team, Bettman.

Canes should go all in on Granlund to help their scoring this summer ;)

If Florida beats Vegas in the finals, they'll have beaten 4 of the top 5 in the NHL and all teams over 110 points and 50 wins. I'm wondering if that's ever been done before. Especially by a team that was about 20 points less in the standings.

Amazing he wasn't even the starter in the beginning of the Boston series. Alex Lyon got his 15 minutes of fame.

I am hoping at some point Phil gets in the Vegas line up and scores a goal.

I'm thinking the panthers bring the cup to Pittsburgh after. A ripple of fate.

Bob was sick from late March to early April. He would have missed 5 regular season games. During those 5 games, Alex Lyon went 5-0 and didn't give up more than 2 goals in any of those games. He got the final 2 starts of the season, too. A 2-1 OT loss to Toronto, and a loss to Carolina where he gave up 4 goals. He then lost 2 of 3 in the Boston Series. Maurice may have made the switch a game or two late, but it still ended up working out for them.

He's definitely the missing high end talent they need! Maybe they can have him center a line with Teravanian and they can try to pass the puck into the net from the perimeter.

Jordan Staal's contract is up after this year. We know he won't get another 6-million-dollar contract again but maybe he could be the next 3rd line center for us. Sort of like a retirement home for aging players. All kiddin aside he still has some fuel left in the tank.

Would love to get him back. Seravalli projects he will get 2 years $3.2mill AAV. I would be all over that. Assuming he doesn't re-sign in Carolina.

I think Granlund would be better on the LW. He needs a veteran center to distribute pucks, someone who wins a lot of face-offs to also help Teravainen: Jeff MF Carter.

Crazy. The team and fans had to have been in shock. Captain of your team can't do that.

Don't recall what the pajama game reference is but...was 1996 the Todd Krygier incident?

I believe he is referencing the Nedved goal that happened many many OTs in.

Barrasso also had to leave this game with an injury and Wregget came to play almost two games.
In these uniforms and 4 OT, Molinari called the Pajama game.
Nedved scores.

OK, so the Krygier incident, Lemieux ejection, Barrasso leaving, and Nedved 4 OT goal were ALL in the same game. Wow, didn't remember all of that.
