Wright has to be just showing off now banking these FG’s off the bar and in.

Can’t blame Canada on that drive, two perfectly called plays and two incomplete passes. Pickett doesn’t seem to have that touch needed to get a TD on the Freiermuth pass and Diontae just being Diontae on that drop.

And another ball hits Dionte’s hands and he can’t make a catch.

Freiermuth in beast mode.
Wow, what touch on that TD pass. Perfect drive.

So Sims drops a fair catch punt and then steps out of bounds with no one near him before making a 1st down catch. What a **** amateur.

Well, looking good in the first half. Let’s see if the Steelers will adjust for once and have a productive second half.

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
Should had used 1st and 2nd down to try to get Pickens going with some long bombs that if they work, great. If not worst thing that happens is Atlanta gets the ball back with about 15 seconds left with one TO.

I agree and especially since the line has played reasonably well and Pickett hasn’t had too much pressure.DelPen wrote:Should had used 1st and 2nd down to try to get Pickens going with some long bombs that if they work, great. We are going to mediocre our way to a bad draft spot.

Yup, with absolutely nothing changing anywhere on the team.Grunthy wrote:We are going to mediocre our way to a bad draft spot.

While I agree with you, the Colts and Falcons are just bad teams. At least the Lions and Browns keep winning and hopefully the Broncos and Packers win.Grunthy wrote:We are going to mediocre our way to a bad draft spot.

Something tells me Pickens did something at practice and Canada being the amateur he is, is trying to prove a point that he's in charge and isn’t throwing anything to him especially because of ho big this game is to him coming back to Atlanta.

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
Pickens seems like a weird dude who is a bit of a hot head. God knows what he would have done but he’ll grow up. Seems more grounded (just weird) than Wallace or Brown or the other knuckleheads that have come through the Steelers WR room.DelPen wrote:Something tells me Pickens did something at practice and Canada being the amateur he is, is trying to prove a point that he's in charge and isn’t throwing anything to him especially because of ho big this game is to him coming back to Atlanta.

Great contract for Diontae paying dividends. And by dividends I mean a stupid **** contract. It’s worse than Kapanen’s deal.

Can’t really be mad that the Steelers are winning then mad because Diontae helps them lose.DelPen wrote:Great contract for Diontae paying dividends. And by dividends I mean a stupid **** contract. It’s worse than Kapanen’s deal.

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
Problem is this average WR was rewarded for holding out at camp with a contract way above his limited ability. I can look past the business of elite players doing this but not a guy who can easily be replaced. And yes, Johnson can easily be replaced.Daniel wrote:Can’t really be mad that the Steelers are winning then mad because Diontae helps them lose.DelPen wrote:Great contract for Diontae paying dividends. I think he’ll be gone within 2-3 years. I think Pickens and next years WR pick will be next generation. And yes, I agree he’s easily replaced.DelPen wrote:Problem is this average WR was rewarded for holding out at camp with a contract way above his limited ability. Incredibly smart and unselfish by Fitz to not run that in knowing we can kneel twice for a win.

Glad the Panthers continued to be a joke of a franchise by cutting Mayfield before he faced us and ended up doing way he did for the Rams last night.
There are a lot of teams that are just run horribly but the decisions the Panthers made since they forced their founder to sell the team a few years ago put them near the top.

Trubisky is the best weapon for a better draft pick. Put Kenny on IR and get a top 5 pick.

I’m oddly fine with a blocked FG. Not Boswell’s fault and we have increased odds of losing.

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
I always had the game against Carolina pencilled in as a win but after seeing them play very well against Seattle yesterday I’m not convinced anymore.
All time record against the Panthers is 6-1 where that 1 loss was the first game ever in 1996. My children have never experienced the shame of losing to Carolina. Let’s see if Canada scars them for life.
