The Steelers have a long snapper problem. I’ll explain if anyone is interested ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

These games where we get the perfect storm of both the offense and defense playing horribly are not fun

So big picture, losing is best for the franchise to get a better draft pick. But i hate seeing this team play like ****. There are players out there that have no business being in the NFL and the same people that will be making the draft picks are the ones that thought these players were good enough and also tell them how to play and how to prepare for games.

Even with just people with the last name Bush, i would try out Jeb, W, Reggie, Kate and Sophia over Devin Bush at ILB.

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
You have a really good WR corp in place. You draft a promising RB and TE to enhance that attack. You have a HOF QB if he can stay healthy will make those players look great. So what happens? You don’t keep the barely adequate offensive linemen you had, draft a Guard with baby T-Rex arms to be your center and round lout the offensive line with total garbage. Result is you cant run, can give your HOF QB time to make plays and he’s going to get killed before the seasons over and the backup is garbage to boot. THEN lets do the same thing with the defense except we had strength in 3 spots.
Watt is going to end up like Brian Urlacher, one of the best ever at his position but it doesnt matter because the team around him is **** garbage.

Funny thing, remembering back when JJ Watt was the most dominant player on defense on a team that wasn’t very good. And if you could neutralize him you had your way with the rest of the defense. But when you couldn’t, you died.
We are becoming the Texans.

So i have been diving in to variables to try to give Harvin the benefit of the doubt on his punts. After watching the snaps, where he gets the ball and the result, final conclusions is he sucks and was a waste of a pick. And at this point the over spin happening when Boswell misses im going to start pinning on him over the long snapper.
When Boswell kicks a stationary, vertical ball with laces out he’s money. When something goes wrong its iffy

Didn’t they just add a punter to the practice squad?DelPen wrote:Cut Harvin. Right. Now. Make him walk home.

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
Harvin finally gets a good punt off and we allow a monster run back with a useless prenalty. And now we give up an easy TD, nothing on offense and he shanks it out of bounds at the 50.
Never draft a punter, he would have been able to be signed after the draft and if not, no loss. Now it’s probably too late to find a reliable holder on kicks which thankfully he doesn't suck at, but i would hope Rudolph would be able to do that well, otherwise why have him around too?

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
If Ben has any intent to play next year he needs shut down. He’s going to get killed with this pathetic line. Need to see what Rudolph and Haskins can do with pressure to win anyways. And the more we lose anyways the better our draft position will be an we need help just about everywhere.
Ben would be fine behind a competent line.

Didn’t know you can plow the QB after he hands the ball off and the runner is gone.

I’m sure we will have a draft position where BPA will not fill the gaping holes we have.

TJ is going to have the same career as JJ where he’s the best player in the NFL but the team around him is just dreadful.

3 turnovers with a short field and can’t get a damn TD. Good grief this offense is putrid.

If the Steelers lose this game, it has zero to do with the defense.
