Did Snell just break his own arm making a tackle on punt coverage?

The 42ish yard line is no man’s land. Too far for a field goal. Almost too close for a punt to not have a touch back. Under 3 yards it’s smart to go for it. 5 or less you always try to draw an offsides with a hard count and take the delay of game because it’s actually better to give the punter another 5 yards to work with.

Yet Collingsworth thinks that was all to pad the stats. If the Seahawks didn’t bungle the punt coverage that 5 extra yards was needed to not garuntee a touchback.

He never left the field. Looks like he’s totally fine.

Imagine how better Harriss would be with a decent line?

That was actually a great play call with Ebron for the TD.

Need 20 yards in 36 seconds with a time out and never try to throw over the middle to get in FG range. Horrible play calls that whole series.

So many spots to draft next spring. Make sure anyone drafted can actually tackle if it’s on defense.

Part of me is mad that we should be killing this garbage Seattle team but then another part wants to see a bad record to get a top 15 draft pick. Ben literally dropping the ball here will help with the rebuild.

Other than Ben, Heyward, Haden, and probably the DL as a whole, this is a pretty young team so not much to rebuild. I don't see a QB in the 2022 draft to replace Ben so draft DL to replace Heyward, DB to replace Haden, OL because they could use the depth and of course WR just because. I'd actually go CB or DL in the first round. I think Moore, Dotson, Green is a pretty good start to rebuilding the OL and I wouldn't mind Trai Turner resigned. I can't really figure out Okorafor. He's still pretty young and should improve but giving him competition can't hurt.

I don't think any QB in the 2022 draft class is any better than Rudolph or Haskins and if both falter the 2023 draft class looks much better so I'd wait.

As for the Seattle game, the only reason the game was close last night is because Tomlin completely messed up the game plan. The field reporter even gave both coaches strategies coming into the 2nd half. Tomlin was going to stop the pass and Carrol was going to run run run. Tomlin didn't adjust until the game was tied and gave way more respect to Geno Smith than was warranted.

Need to look for a guy who will play a show me contract at QB to then either fir perfectly or use us to have another team overpay him as a free agent. But drafting one, unless it’s Ben 2.0 that slips to us then pass. This guy from NC isn’t that franchise player.

ILB probably is the most needed position, Bush is horrendous and not having a great ILB hurts both the run and pass game. But overall the only positions we absolutely don’t need is another RB, TE or EDGE on defense.

I disagree about Bush, he was great before he got hurt and is just getting back into the swing of things. He’ll be fine and is still pretty young. He’ll be great for years. Johnson is nice for depth, but more a thumper than a speed guy. Schobert has a nice addition and not that old. ILB can use depth but I don’t see it as a pressing need.

I think CB and DL are the biggest positions of need and wouldn’t mind them being the 1st/2nd round picks next draft. The Steelers have never done well with 1st round CB so not sure I’d want one unless it was a can’t miss prospect.

If you’re talking about the hit on Boswell, it might have been dirty but it was completely legal.

Incredibly stupid call by Tomlin. Defensive struggle, can go up a field goal AND get the ball first in the 2nd half. Now they can’t kick field goals, have to go for 2 on all PATs and have probably lost Boswell for a few weeks. Not even to mention that the Steelers had to kneel on the ball rather than push forward because no point in pushing forward when you don’t have a kicker.

Just stupid.

It wasn’t legal. The moment the crown of his helmet hit Boswell’s face mask made it illegal. The play call was stupid but that doesn’t excuse the officials missing an obvious helmet to helmet hit that cause a player to bleed from the mouth and get a concussion.
