The difference between Ben done and Ben not done is where in the draft they are. This franchise will never win a Super Bowl under Tomlin. I think the Rooney's have taken coach loyalty to the point of detriment to the team. Other than the offensive and defensive lines, this is an incredibly young team.

I'd have no problems with Ben and Tomlin gone after this season and rebuild around either Rudolph or draft a franchise QB.
Well hey, they're still in the Tua sweepstakes!

EDIT: oops, nevermind that, they gave their 2020 first round pick to Miami for Fitzpatrick. Gee, great. Unreal.

What's not to like about that trade? He's a 2018 #11 overall pick. No matter what happens this year, they'd likely draft someone like him in 2020.

Rudolph is good enough to put up 20+ when the team should. The problem so far has been the defense and getting Fitzpatrick should help some of that but still does nothing to prevent TE’s from abusing the LB’s not named Watt.

But this is actually a proactive move that makes the team better now and in the future but it better work out.

I agree. I read that the Dolphins have already paid most of his salary and the Steelers will be paying $1.5M for the next 4 years. This is a huge need for the defense and allows them to let Davis go via free agency.

The 1st round pick in 2020 is already on the team and even if the Steelers tank they won't need a QB since Ben will be back next year.

My new Watt jersey came on Monday. Maybe it’s a sign.

I think the problems with the Steelers begins and ends with the coaching staff.

As I was travelling, I only able to watch most of the 4th quarter. Boy, did we look bad. When we needed a stop, the defense folded like a cheap suit. Our vaunted offensive line? Mason Jar was scrambling for life.

It looks like it's tackling and scheme. Players don't seem to be in the right position for either.

**** is getting real tonight, breaking out my lucky Heath Miller Jersey, that I had to retire last year because I was too fat but lost a ton of weight since January, where the Steelers are almost undefeated in the last 5 years when I wear it.

How you even throw a flag for offensive PI there is absurd. So I’m sure when they take a look they will uphold it because **** common sense.

Riveron must have a decision tree in New York that if the challenge is Tomlin, the challenge is denied.

If the Steelers can get a 3rd rounder for cutting Montcrief then why wasn’t this done weeks ago?

If coach T and co dont trust Rudolph, they should have found another qb. This dog and pony show is getting old...... fast...

Wow, relieved he was able to get up and walk off. That looked like a catastrophic hit. Not that he's out of the woods by any means but obviously very positive.

Did Thomas get ejected for that hit?

Nope. And he just had an INT that was thankfully called back for an unrelated hold.

Word is Rudolph headed to local hospital.
