Wow did VGKs get a bargain. William Karlsson, whose best season is about 15 points better than Skinner's, signs for 8 years and only $5.9 million AAV. Karlsson 2nd best season is only a few points behind Skinners best season btw.

Maybe because before last year he had full seasons of 9 goals and 6 goals. Possibly even he knows that the 43g 78pt season was an astounding fluke that he will in no way be able to keep up. He could possibly be laughing his way to the bank right now. Or, he figures making $60M+ over his career will be far more moneythan he will ever have need of and really, honestly, doesn't care about market value.

I doubt he will score 45 again. But maybe the 13 minutes Torts was giving didn't allow him to succeed? Anyhow, the point was how overpaid Skinner was lol.

Yeah, it's a lot up front each year, but at $80M payroll is about $6.7M a month anyway. Yes, you have to lump in July, but then each month his additional salary is almost nill.

If they don't match, that team needs to be moved.
