Players are taking all the stuff Bell left behind in his locker today and posting it on Twitter.

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
Will the Steelers transition tag our prodigal son? Some good stuff in this article.
"The transition tag effectively turns an unrestricted free agent into a restricted one, though without the added team security of receiving draft picks should the player leave. By tagging Bell, Pittsburgh could sit back and wait for other teams to make offers on the All-Pro tailback. Once he gets a offer to his liking, he’ll start the clock on the Steelers’ seven-day window to either match the contract or let him walk. That would give Pittsburgh the opportunity to re-sign Bell at a lower figure should his market never materialize, or use its transition tag-given right to sign him to an astronomical deal, then trade him to whichever interested party is offering the biggest return for Bell and his new contract."

(Edit: It was reported elsewhere the $14 million not paid to Bell this year gets added to the Steeler cap next year.)

Let Bell walk and hope it yields a a compensatory pick. Every bridge is now burned. The o-line will never block for him.

Why does this team forget how to play football every time they play the Jags?

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
If they review every score and change of possession why not just call it an INT then look at it? Stupid they made anyone use a challenge for what clearly was a gift of an INT by Ben.

I don’t hate Ben vs NE. He’s fine, we end up getting screwed by officials in those or our coaches kill us.ejd43 wrote:Two things every steeler fan hates to hear.....DelPen wrote:Has to own a minority stake in their franchise.ejd43 wrote:Ben looks good. Throwing typical INTs to the jags D

That $14 million in dead cap space would have been better used to get some better depth and graphics joy starters at some positions.

Love it when Ben is the sole person responsible for throwing a game away

Well, miraculously we are still in it. At times it looked like our D was getting run over by a truck.

I guess if you are just looking at the score but nothing tells me this team is in anything today. Will end up being 15-7 with a garbage time TDHumperdink wrote:Well, miraculously we are still in it. At times it looked like our D was getting run over by a truck.
