Or a short one after an 0-5 start. At that point I’m done until we get a real coach.ejd43 wrote:This could a long season in steeler land.

Wild theory but with the horrible Punts and the barely wide kicks I’m saying something is wrong with Barry. He’s holding the ball just a bit off before a punt and hold.

I think I might die before I see a Steelers defense ever competently cover a TE

It would be nice for just once, the Steelers could cover a TE

Glad I didn’t get my hopes up. I’d say it would be a long season but This **** will be over in October just in time for Penguins season.

I'd say barely playing Ben in the preseason and it seems like barely any starter played. They all had their various excuses. The first two games seemed like they were getting acclimated to the season rather than a proper preseason and coming out of the gate ready to play. The first two games are proof that preseason is important.ejd43 wrote:Something is just off. Also doesn't help that the once storied franchise has become a circus with Tomlin as the ringleader. Moron number one would rather party in Miami than play football. Moron number two threatens reporters because his feelings got hurt. The moron in charge gives pep talks over coaching and platitudes instead of discipline and you can see the lack of discipline and coaching on the field. The country club that was once with the Penguins has moved to the Steelers locker room.
This team has the talent to have a great season and go far into the playoffs, but won't reach their potential with Tomlin in charge.

Next week for the Steel Curtain (cough) is Ryan Fitzpatrick and TB Bucs. Fitzpatrick has 800+ yards passing after 2 games. Can't wait.

I thought Bell couldn’t be traded since he has the franchise tag after the season started?

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
He can't be traded at this moment because he hasn't signed the tag, and is officially not under contract. Essentially, he would have to agree to the trade, then sign under the tag to facilitate it. He can be traded, there are just hoops to be jumped through first.

As soon as they wasted their second timeout I knew they were going to need it to win the game.ejd43 wrote:If they blow this game......

Before I would think people were being to harsh on Tomlin, but god damn. He has no control over his inmates.

He is not a bad coach but all coaches have a shelf life. It definitely should be his last season.

Re: Official Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
If losing every game left in the most embarrassing ways possible resulted in a clean sweep of the coaching staff I’d be fine with that.
But it won’t and a 8-7-1 season will be met with a pat on the back for Tomlin and his friends.

This is a result of having a team full of prima donnas. Have a OC who is in his position because Ben can’t handle a little heat from the previous regime, a DC who is in his position due to tenure. Tomlin is clueless, and Rooney is too stubborn to make a change because his old man created the “Rooney rule”

To be fair though should have been a flag for the hang tackle out of bounds after the whistle.ville5 wrote:3rd and 18, down 14 points. Let's throw it 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage. Stupid m'er $##%ers
