This series wouldn’t be a choke. Tampa underachieved the first two games. Tampa is really good and should win this series.
It is a choke. They won the first 2 on the road. Teams that have done that probably have a high win percentage. Choke.

They already won their cup against the Pens. They are choking this away now.

Have to figure Tampa-Washington goes seven. I can't see the Caps losing three straight home games, especially considering they've had at least a slight edge in overall play. Plus, this is the first time since they fell behind 0-2 that Tampa can exhale a bit. Human nature for them to let down.

I'm looking at the Jets' line combos on dailyfaceoff. Is Joe Morrow really on their top pairing? JFC

Morrow played in all five games in the opening round and then didn't play at all vs. Nashville. This is the first time he has been in the lineup vs. Vegas. I don't know if he was injured or just was benched.

Washington wins it all. Hope not, but that'd be my bet.

Winnipeg left it all out there beating the top seed Preds in the 2nd round instead of the conference finals.

Now they are losing to team that nobody hates and everybody likes. No rivalry for the expansion nice team Vegas.

And Fleury apparently may win the Nobel Peace prize or something.

So sick of Vegas.

Jets just didn't have enough to deal with Vegas' relentless pursuit and stellar team D. And then there's MAF when they suffer from a breakdown to keep it out of the net. Jets' PP was muted and they just could not get enough quality chances on MAF.

Yet another big home ice playoff loss and when that crowd in Winnipeg isn't excited, it's eerily quiet. The crowd didn't say boo for almost all of the 3rd.

They play a rather boring style, even if they do so with good speed for a full 60mins.

If Vegas loses and he does win it, at least he'll go down in history as displacing Michelin Man and poster child for oversized goalie equipment Giguere as only goaltender on the losing side to win the Conn Smythe.

EDIT: In fairness to Giguere, I don't recall his equipment as being as ridiculous during that time as it was later on. Could have been but don't remember 15 yrs ago as well :?

Reaves with series clinching GWG. That’s a bit of salt in some Pens fans’ wounds. Welp, happy for the guy.

Cinderella story this VGK team. Fine, go win it all so fans around the league can hate somebody else than the Pens.

Ron Hextall would like a word with you. (Oilers-Flyers 1987, one heck of a series.)

This series is not over, but I love reading the Washington press when things look bleak for Craps.

Quoting the article: “If we’re being serious here, I think getting past that second round is a relief for him (Ovechkin),” defenseman Matt Niskanen said. “Beating Pittsburgh was a huge deal for him.”

^^^^^^^ There it is, Ovy's Stanley Cup.

I hope the caps have a person focusing on offsides! 2016 where would the pens be without the reversal of the Tampa goal in game 6!

Oshie standing in the middle of all 4 players and still gets a shot off for a PP goal. Horrendous defense here.
