Reaves in the lineup for Vegas. Maybe just getting one under his belt before the Winnipeg series.

The set up: End of the game, empty net for the B's. Tampa Bay player on a breakaway towards the empty net. Bruin player dives/sprawls from behind and trips him. Automatic goal, right? Thems the rules, as they say. Nope, just a minor penalty.

Thank you, Wes McCauley
Guess I wasn't the only one confused about that. I know in regular season it's an automatic goal even if the puck is behind the goal & the player has a clean path to that puck at the blue line. Eric Staal got one that way earlier this year.

Hope we put a condition on that 2nd that if Vegas wins the Cup this year we get to keep it. But then again they are paying Brassard to do absolutely nothing right now so I guess we are even.

They're big, they have speed, they have guys who can score, they're getting good goaltending, and Byfuglien has been playing good hockey instead of being a total moron.

Don Waddell GM for the Canes & Rod Brind' Amour coach.
Waddell? late of the thrashers?
Canes having a worst day than the pens.

Hopefully, the conference finals is not the dreaded meltdown series for Fleury.

You got that right. I guess Waddell and Brind'Amour will work for next to nothing. Waddell should never have been a GM again anywhere in the NHL

Who was the last player to win three straight Cups for any team?

Bonino, Kunitz and Fleury all have a chance.

What the heck is going on with Rinne right now? Pulled with only 10 minutes gone in the 1st. 2 bad goals allowed

A ref that sees a guy drop his stick and put his hands up like he didn't do anything has to be tempted to make a call just because of that.

Hoping for a Jet win. Tired of Nashville's (fan's) antics

Recall the days when the Jet's predecessor's were called Lose-a-peg.

Winnipeg needs to bury a few of these. When you own play like this you have to make the most of it.

Winnipeg seems to be carrying the play but it's still a one-goal game.

I guess there won't be any more penalties called unless it's delay of game or blood is drawn.
