Anything that’s not blocked by either team on he way to the net is going in. It’s like watching a team full of Letangs for the Leafs.

There’s no way 31 teams basically give Seattle a playoff team like this in 2021 right?

Lots of credit to Gallant for getting these guys on the same page all year.

Pray for hockey writers if it’s vegas vs Preds in the next round. They may not survive with all the off ice fun.

I love Fleury and thanks for retaining 30% on Brassard for no reason but an expansion team should not be this good.

Watched just the beginning of the Vegas/Sharks game. Vegas too quick/too fast/too talented for the Sharks. Vegas up 2-0 early, go to bed. Wake up to see a 7-0 thrashing. Oh my. And #29 with a shutout. I'll bet he's having fun.

He had to have been. He joined in doing the wave with the crowd at one point...

I hope Winnipeg and Nashville beat each other to a pulp and Vegas rolls into the finals with a 12-0 record against the Pens.

Yes, there is. All this hype about how amazing Vegas has done as an expansion team is horsecrap. They've played very well together as a team, but it is in no way an even playing field with past teams. No expansion team in NHL history was picked with such restrictive protected lists. The league guaranteed every team would have to expose one, or several, very good players. It will be the same with Seattle. Vegas has accomplished a lot this year, but comparing them to previous expansion teams is ludicrous.

Kane getting the same 1 game suspension of guys who made borderline hits during a game is a joke. What he did was worse than Kadri’s 3 games and he should be out for at least that of not more.

Weird situation, shot comes in and hits raask’s skate and knocks the blade off. The official doesn’t seem to care and doesn’t stop play and Tampa scores.

Is there any requirement to stop play? Doesn’t seem like it.

Seems that may be first time it’s ever occurred to goalie. They may need to update as the only consideration to date has been goalie head protection.

Section 9.6 Helmets has this to say:

When a goalkeeper has lost his helmet and/or face mask and his team has control of the puck, the play shall be stopped immediately to allow the goalkeeper the opportunity to regain his helmet and/or face mask. When the opposing team has control of the puck, play shall only be stopped if there is no immediate and impending scoring opportunity. This stoppage of play must be made by the Referee. When play is stopped because the goalkeeper has lost his helmet and/or face mask, the ensuing face-off shall take place at one of the defending team’s end zone face-off spots.
When a goalkeeper deliberately removes his helmet and/or face mask in order to secure a stoppage of play, the Referee shall stop play as outlined above and in this case assess the goalkeeper a minor penalty for delaying the game. If the goalkeeper deliberately removes his helmet and/or face mask when the opposing team is on a breakaway, the Referee shall award a penalty shot to the non- offending team, which shot shall be taken by the player last in possession of the puck. If the goalkeeper deliberately removes his helmet and/or face mask during the course of a penalty shot or shootout attempt, the Referee shall award a goal to the non-offending team.

Rule 14 seems to somewhat explicitly deny the privilege for skate issues (equipment):

Rule 14 – Adjustment to Clothing or Equipment
14.1 Adjustment to Clothing or Equipment - Play shall not be stopped nor the game delayed by reasons of adjustments to clothing, equipment, skates or sticks.
The onus of maintaining clothing and equipment in proper condition shall be upon the player. If adjustments are required, the player shall leave the ice and play shall continue with a substitute.
No delay shall be permitted for the repair or adjustment of goalkeeper’s equipment. If adjustments are required, the goalkeeper shall leave the ice and his place shall be taken by the substitute goalkeeper immediately.

Not sure how or why PK consistently gets away with wrestling guys to the ice and holding them there with the ref watching but he does.

Winnipeg earned that tying goal. So much pressure down the stretch.

Couldn't hang for the second OT of Vegas-San Jose last night. Hope this one ends quickly.
