F Jagr.

Sorry...

You can't have the 4th leading scorer in league history NOT be in the HoF. That is as close to an endorsement as I can stomach.

I have heard Jagr will wear a wig tonight in tribute to his Penguins days.

Easily one of the top 10 of all-time. Tragic, for the Pens, that he wasn't brought back upon his return from exile in the KHL.

From Yohe today;
Jagr’s influence on these Panthers isn’t just an on-ice thing. Much like in his recent stops around the league, his passion for fitness away from the rink – along his rock star/funny guy routine in the locker room – and his ability to keep the locker room loose is paying off.

“The guy is incredible,” said Vince Trocheck, the Upper St. Clair native who used to trick-or-treat at Jagr’s Upper St. Clair home. “He’s been a great fit from the day he came here. Everyone loves being around him. It’s been surreal for me, being a Pittsburgh kid who grew up idolizing him, to being on the same team as him. It’s been special for me.”

Jagr said he is letting the young guys in Florida grow at their own pace. He shares a line with young stars Aleksander Barkov and Jonathan Huberdeau.

The kids seem to have an infectious impact on the old man.

“You have to use their energy,” Jagr explained. “That’s the whole key. They have a lot of fun. They have no fear. They don’t worry about anything. I like that attitude.”

If Jagr had not left for Russia he would have 2050 points now and 800 goals.

Jagr had do endure 3 lockouts as well, without that we could be talking 2300 points.

Top 5 in my book.

Easily a top 5 forward, no doubt about that. If he would have or does win a another Cup I think he'd be able to make a case for best of all time. And he's done it through all the changes in the game. He's adapted and thrived through it all.

Yeah. And Jagr is the ONLY top 10 player that have endured all the low scoring clutch and grab era of hockey.

Imagine if Jagr would have started in the HIGH SCORING 1980....

Jagr could have had 8 Art Ross if had stayed with the Penguins, the Capitals years are the only really dark spot in his career.

So stupid question, when he does hang it up and get elected into the HOF, does he pick the team he wants to go in as playing for or does the HOF?

I'm almost certain the HHOF does not do that at all. I believe nationality and predominant position is noted. I'll put it to the floor: Is this right, guy?

I searched a few minutes for confirmation, then the phone rang and I had to get it.

For ceremonial purposes, a player might sign a one-day contract to retire as a [insert team name here]. But that has nothing to do with the HHOF.

Honestly they shouldn't even wait for him to retire, he is an automatic HoF. Top 5 all time easily. LEGEND.

The man is a LEGEND...

Not on the level of a Beech (described by the DUI-wizard as a future 'Ron Francis' and potential franchise player), Lupaschuk, and Sivek, but pretty damn good nonetheless...

Don't forget, Sivek is the most NHL ready out of the bunch.

This trio scored a whooping 13 goals for the Penguins between them. 3 for Sivek, 10 for Beech and 0 for Losethepuck, who had a great NHL career of... 3 games. This deal was bad at the time and keeps getting worse each game Jagr dresses.
