Glad that 0:18 runoff (2:56-2:38 in the 4th) didn't hurt the Steelers.

Comment this AM in the San Diego Tribune by a Charger fan:

"Hats off to our All Pro QB (Rivers) for reading the defenses and calling plays that put the Chargers in a position to win the game with the steelers hanging all over him....thumbs down to the fans who ddn't show up and let Steelers Fans take over the stadium."

Love the last line of the comment.

I'm not sure I recall a regular-season road game with more Terrible Towels waving.

The were several other commenters echoing the Charger's fan gripe - especially towards their season ticket holder base.

So
Game 1 away- Headsets malfunction

Game 2 away- burn the turf

Game 3 away- missing time

good times on the road!

“It was a tough environment tonight — like being on the road,” Philip Rivers said. “Odd is one word we could use. We were in a silent count, and we had no chance....."

Imagine that - needing to go to a silent count because of the visiting Steeler fans in your home stadium.

Side judge suspended for mismanaging clock in the Steelers/Chargers game.

"Vernatchi "will not officiate in Week 6 as a result of the failure to notice that the game clock was incorrectly started," league spokesman Michael Signora said Thursday. Signora added Vernatchi is being taken off the field for one week and then will return to referee Pete Morelli's crew"

"Signora said the status of the clock operator in San Diego, an NFL employee, is under review."

Last week and next week were/are as must win as you can get for future tie breakers. I would bet Ben is back against the Chiefs.

I hope for a win and Palmer to remember how he can't play well against Pittsburgh but this game wouldn't be horrible to lose.

Arians is in the running for Harbaugh Award (pick either brother), for yapping at every call.

I wouldn't have gone for 2 there, not with Landry Jones. Get the point.

Yes, we finally have a kicker, and he's pretty much the majority of your offense today.

Bleh. Really needed a TD. But I'm still amazed we're even leading at all.

Get the ball back and eat up some clock, Steelers.
