Fortunately, PG, we got it. Hope the Tigers-Cubs score holds, too; Tigers up 6-2 in the 5th.

The defense blew this game more than anything, giving up a 5-run lead in the 8th and 9th. Tough to see a rare error by Sean Rod; I felt for the guy.

No, let's blame it on the wooers, who were particularly annoying tonight.

Josh Yohe ‏@JoshYohe_PGH 2h2 hours ago
Thinking about interviewing some wooers tomorrow night. I don't actually care about them. I just want to get their names. So we have them.

For being the 3rd best team in MLB, the Bucs sure can frustrate at times. (But boy, can they excite, too!)

Onward to the 15th...

Finally! Raise it! LOL, Florimon, of all people!

Harrison at third, Kang at short, Walker second base, platoon Alvarez/Ramirez. Spot Mercer every 4th game at short.

Ramirez is starting to swing the bat. There will be some tough choices to make but good options. Nice to see some depth.

I'd use Harrison at 1B before Ramirez.

The number of legitimate options is certainly nice, though it makes it difficult to decide on a standard lineup.

I'm completely on board with Harrison at third, Kang at short, Walker second base, platoon Alvarez/Ramirez. Spot Mercer every 4th game at short. You can also make defensive changes late in the game, as necessary. Additionally, if the Pirates make it all the way to the WS, they have a few decent options for DH games.

I'll be at the games tonight and Thursday. Hope they can keep rolling!

If you try to run on Gregory Polanco, you're gonna have a bad time.

Meanwhile, on the left coast, the Giants leave them loaded in the bot 8th.

Bot 9th now, and the Giants have the bases loaded again. This time, they get it done! Yes! Bucs are 3.5 back.

And, of course, the Cards score 5 runs in the 8th and 9th to come back from behind vs. the Nationals. Just like that *finger snap*, the Bucs are back to being 6 games back.

The Nationals, just like their NHL brethren, the Caps, can't be counted on for a damn thing.

Tonight of course, the Cards are out in front of the Nats early while the Bucs are being no-hit by a newly-arrived-from-AAA pitcher.

Listen to us complain about the 3rd-best team in MLB. But that's just the way it is when the Bucs are trapped in the division they're in. Legit (I think) contender in a crap situation behind probably the best team in, oh, what, 15 years? Sometimes you just have to shake your head at the "luck."

6 back...2.5 back...7 back...3.5 back...maybe back to 7... this team's giving me the bends. But mostly, it's because Cardinals.

Nats have tied it up, but it's so hard to take them seriously anymore.

Ahahahaha! Wow, and we're tied thanks to a 3-run HR! Muchas gracias, A-Ram...

That was only the Bucs' 2nd hit of the game.

...and 2 runs (with 2 out) right back to them. Come on, guys.

AAA? This Davies kid looks so young, I think he really came from American Legion ball.

Ramirez is doing his part tonight!

Followed the saturday game on espn.com. Don't know how accurate, but Garcia getting a lot of strike calls on pitches that were almost off the bottom of the page. Hard too a beat a low ball pitcher when he is getting those calls.

Wow. The Cubs are terrifying right now. They're on the road in STL. Beat the Cardinals 9-0 last night and have leapt out to a 6-0 lead after 2 tonight.

Meanwhile, Cutch Happened in our game in Cincy. 5-0 good guys. Shame we couldn't win last night, but it's looking gooood tonight.

And go Frankie with the big bat! 2 for 3 with a double and a single!
