Re: Patrick Kane in Hot Water
I was just about to post this. Terrible news. It'll be interesting to see how this goes down and how the Blackhawks respond.

The fact of the matter is these girls are often a dime a dozen to these guys. If one isn't DTF, you toss her out of the house and call the next one. It's literally that simple. ****, have her sign a waiver. She'll do it.

I've never been a big fan of his but I hope he hasn't done anything.

Timing is everything. "Kane is scheduled to bring the Stanley Cup to Buffalo this weekend as part of the Blackhawks’ championship victory celebration."

Re: Patrick Kane in Hot Water
I just came across this comment on the following article:
Can someone educate me on what happened back in 2010 with Kane? Was there an incident like described below?
I asked the same thing on chicago HF-boards and they deleted my post without any notice, lol.

http://www.si.com/nhl/2015/08/21/patric ... estigation"Kane does have a habit of being a complete idiot when drunk, him and his bigger cousin attacking an old man in a cab. Also how drunk and how much of a jerk do you have to be acting like to be kicked out of a frat party at the University of Wisconsin, which is full of Chicago fans, right after you score the winning goal to bring the cup back to Chicago after 49 years? In 2010 the accounts that Kane was grabbing girls and manhandling them at UofW are legendary, he then was supposedly spurned by a girl and he started choking her, the frat boys grabbed him and threw him out, police were called and they made him leave."

Re: Patrick Kane in Hot Water
I remember a lot of rumors of Kane at a frat party and him being pretty wasted. The word was that he was pretty drunk and was getting aggressive with some of the girls there after they refused his advances. I think I remember the more he drank the more out of control he got and was antagonizing one of the girls to the point the bros had enough and removed him. The rumor was that he grabbed a girl by the neck at one point but I don't think charges were ever filed and it was just a lot of internet rumor stuff. I think there were pics of him and other people from the party showing he was there but no formal account of his behaviors there.Lesky wrote:I just came across this comment on the following article:

Even if this goes to court the girl will settle for a cash settlement and Kane will be obsolved of any wrong doing. In the end with stuff like this i just hope justice is served.

That would be the civil side. The criminal side and how far that goes will be determined by the prosecutor.no name wrote:Even if this goes to court the girl will settle for a cash settlement and Kane will be obsolved of any wrong doing. In the end with stuff like this i just hope justice is served.

"Kane was warned about his behavior after the sloppy Wisconsin display in 2012 and made promises before signing his $84 million contract 13 months ago".
"Kane had been warned about his behavior, and the Hawks were not pleased that he announced at the Stanley Cup rally that he intended to act the fool again while celebrating the team's third championship in six seasons."

Re: Patrick Kane in Hot Water
How this could be percieved as anything other than an admission of guilt seems impossible... Has there been any speculation as to how the Hawks will handle it if he isn't ever charged with a crime? That, of course, was the goal of avoiding the grand jury.....Skatingpen wrote:Settlement coming?

Re: Patrick Kane in Hot Water
in most cases cash settlements are reached because the expense of drawn out negotiations will end up costing more than the actual settlement.
there's likely only 2 people who know if Kane is guilty: Kane and his accuser and depending on how drunk either of them was they might not even know for sure.

This case just keeps getting weirder. At what point if any will the NHL step in and hand out some kind of disciplinary action? Or will they try to just sweep this under the rug and move on?

I would have thought it would have already if it was going to do anything. The NFL suspended Ben without even a trial.

Yep, the NHL looks bad right now. He should sit until the courts/lawyers figure this out. Bad precedent.

Especially with a documented history of this sort of behavior. Convicted sex offender? No. Scumbag? That shoe fits....

He isn't even a tool. Or a toolbag. He's a warehouse.
