Really like the Aramis retrieval. He's still a good bat for the bench and rotation on the left side once Mercer and Harrison return. This gives them flexibility to move Harrison around as well.

Having Ishikawa and Ramirez as righty/left options off the bench if we return to good health is a nice upgrade for post-season. Those are better bats than they have had sitting for a long time. If they can move Pedro for a legit 1st baseman that would be great. Getting another outfielder who could play right field and hit may work too, if the are stuck with Pedro and decide to play Ishikawa more there.

Not sure when Hart when on the DL for his 60 days, but if he were to come back that is another nice bat off the bench.

It's ok for Aramis Ramirez to not swing at the first pitch.

They have to move Alvarez. Its all but certain the Pirates will be playing in the WC game again, which means we will face a lefty. Aramis will start at 3B in all likelihood and if Harrison is healthy I would start him at 2B in place of Walker or in RF.

It would make sense for them to go after a RF and a 1B who can hit lefties well.

They definitely need to go get Lind now if only to keep him from the Cards who are rumored to be trying to trade for him. :fist:

Fit to be tied, but the Bucs could have had at least three runs in the 5th.

Rest him. And somewhere, Vance Worley is :face: at Deolis Guerra. Hell, we all are.

What a lousy birthday present for Hurdle.

They're up 2 on the Cards in the bot 8th in St. Louis, but the Cards have the tying run (hey, it's Brandon Moss) at the plate.

LOL. Bot 9th: Still 8-6 Rockies. Cards have bases loaded, no one out, Axford is wild, and Peralta is at the plate. It'll be a miracle if the Rockies pull out a win. Aaaaaannnnd the Cards tie it. Of course.

Yep, Cards win.

And there go the Cardinals scoring 3 in the bottom of the 9th to cap a wonderful evening of baseball for the Buccos.

Axford helped for sure.
