Yep, Kreider and Brassard run out of steam and it's good night nurse. And Queen Schmendrick Lumpquisse? Outdueled by a patzer.

And for a close game 7 - it had no zing. It was extremely easy to switch over to Chopped. I actually think hockey was the back-up during Chopped commercials instead of other way round.

Hossa poised for his 5th SCF in last 8 seasons. Pretty Impressive.

It's because Toews is better than Crosby. :pop:

Bruce Boudreau now 1-6 in game 7, including 0-3 with the Ducks.

Hossa made a difference these last two games.

Toews is just awesome. Hope Sid and Geno were watching.

They can watch all they want, but they both are head and shoulders above Toews' level.

Post game from the LA Times:

"They (the Ducks) need someone blessed with the indomitable will of Chicago captain Jonathan Toews, who wouldn't be denied when the Ducks put defensive ace Ryan Kesler against him or when they assigned Ryan Getzlaf to stop him. They need to develop the mental strength of the Blackhawks, who absorbed dozens of hits game after game but bounced right back up to make game-deciding plays."

I don't know about that anymore. At least when it comes to playoff time. I got to believe Toews is the best in the game when playoffs start.

The 2nd best thing about the Lightning-Rangers series is that we didn't have to hear that stupid Rangers song for the last five games.

Looking forward to the finals, it's a good match-up for me personally because I can root for one team (in this case, the Lightning) but I wouldn't mind if the Hawks win it.

The numbers suggest otherwise.

Toews is amazing come playoff time. One number that is hard to argue are the number of STANLEY CUPS from the teams that he has lead. Sure, the top 5 Hawks are all World Class players who play for their national teams... The Pens have not had that. Hawks will no longer have that as the Cap Crunch is going to neuter them next year.

More to it than numbers. If you believe Crosby or malkin have been better come playoff time than Toews, then we can agree to disagree on that one.

After all of these recent playoff fails by the Pens led by Sid and Malkin, compared to the success of Toews. You can't say they are head and shoulders better then him.

Good lord does that pick of Staal over Toews look deplorable now!

They had that a few years ago and they won again in 13. Here they are again....they figure out a way.

Tampa has mastered rebounding from tough losses this postseason but I don't see them recovering from this.

It's game 1. If you're going to lay an egg in a seven game series, that's the time to do it.

Once again, in a 7 game series, home ice proves it's not all it's cracked up to be.

Game 2 was another exciting contest. The last Hawks goal should not have counted -- Hossa was in the paint and clearly pushed Bishop's leg.

Heck of a response by Tampa after blowing two leads.

That was an awesome game.

Tampa's goalie situation took an interesting turn last night.

this is why goalie interference needs to be reviewable. slick play by Hossa but under the current rules if the refs didn't see it then they didn't see it.

Just heard that when the road team wins game 3 with the series tied 1-1, the road team is undefeated in the cup. 13-0. That's wild. We will see. Tampa is certainly playing with the hunger needed to win the cup...

Don't have the time to look up the answer right now, so I figured I would pose the question to someone more rules savvy:

Could Hossa have been awarded a penalty shot when he was tripped while shooting at a (virtually) empty net last night?
