Detroit clinches 24th consecutive postseason appearance. That's pretty remarkable.

Does Jordan Staal seriously only have 6 goals this year?

I was really hoping for Hayes in an afro here. It's ok though. You already won the interwebz with Flavor Flav.NashvilleCat wrote:Jimmy Hayes, all in my brain

So it's business as usual then?IMFC wrote:
There will be a league inquiry if Tukla Raskla isn't in the playoffs. I mean, he is the greatest goalie in the history of this or any other game. If they lose this game, the league will have no choice but to ref 100% against the Pens in the next 2 games.

Calgary and Winnipeg clinch, great fanbases, awesome playoff atmosphere. Ottawa is earning their spot too, I hope they get in.
How did Winnipeg do it with Pavelec in net? I said he was really good against us earlier in the season and was told that he's terrible on here by some. I simply said that he was looking good against us, which wasn't a lie, and the guy has been on absolute fire lately. .943 save % in Feb, back to back shutouts recently, he's helped them get in.

Lots of underachieving in the West with Kings, sharks, Stars and Avs all playing well below expectations I think this year combined with two less teams than the East. more than half of the West makes the playoffs.murphydump55 wrote:Calgary and Winnipeg clinch, great fanbases, awesome playoff atmosphere. Amazing though that two teams that looked dead before the all-star break, Ottawa and Minnesota, are now in the playoffs most likely.

It's just too bad this didn't happen a year or two ago. That playoff revenue would've been much better for the league trading at parity or above instead of $0.80.murphydump55 wrote:Calgary and Winnipeg clinch, great fanbases, awesome playoff atmosphere. Sens win, currently sit at 99 points and leaped ahead of Detroit for 3rd in Atlantic and clinch.
So it's between us and the Bruins and Bruins play at 7:30.
Win and we are win. Get no points and Bruins can leap frog us with a win.

I am looking forward to seeing the isles skating around the caps. I think caps v isles will be fun! This is their first post season match up since dale hunter almost most killed Pierre turgeon, 1993.

I just can not root for the Caps. Go Isles, which is hard to type.

Lots of chippiness/late hits already in the Sens/Habs series. And of course, no calls.

Is it wrong to hope that the Isles/Caps and Sens/Habs series get really chippy and nasty?Humperdink wrote:Lots of chippiness/late hits already in the Sens/Habs series. And of course, no calls.

Just saw a high stick no call. Maybe if the pens know that no calls are being made they can just clutch and grab the hell out of the Rangers.Skatingpen wrote:Got too root for the isles for sure. Just can't find myself rooting for the caps
