A poorly played game with a bunch of goals is infinitely better than a poorly played game with few.
We will have to agree to disagree. I'd rather watch a poorly played 1-1 game than a poorly played 5-2 game. Unless it is a Pens game, then I don't care if it's 10-2 as long as we have the 10.

Why? If both games are poorly played why would you rather watch only 2 goals get scored and not 7?

Because a 1-1 game is still up for grabs which keeps me interested. I switched over to WVA b-ball after it got to 6-2. Game over, zero suspense. I'm guessing NY fans are loving it, but just a hockey fan, not so much. I would much rather watch a low scoring game that is close then a high scoring drubbing. And a 9-8 hockey game does not interest me.

Bad hockey is bad hockey. I dont care how many goals are scored. If i were told the quality of play was going to be horrid though and could either watch a 7-6 game or a 2-1 game, ill take 7-6 every time. Lead changes are fun, comebacks are fun, even if the goals scored are bad. Entire periods without scoring chances are not fun.

Yeah why is the games with a bunch of goals a blowout? When did that happen?

And if a 9-8 game doesn't interest you, I have no idea what planet you're coming from.

Part of that makes sense to me. 2-1 all the time would be better than 6-1 all the time. But what is most fun is a season with a lot of 6-4 games.

I hope the Devils win solely so people can see that it's a hard place to play at no matter who you are, especially in the return to pre-lockout reffing.

Kopitar is a pretty darn good hockey player. He made that look easy.

I don't think he gets enough press. He does everything though, he's like Getzlaf Jr. Creator of offense, great playmaker, great skill level, really good defensively, first minute/last minute type of guy...lost out on a Conn Smythe last year because of the game 7 storyline...it just seems like he gets overshadowed sometimes...Justin Williams, the hero; Drew Doughty, maybe the league's best d-man; Jonathan Quick, goaltender extraordinaire. I know he's on a good team, but it feels like he's kind of forgotten a tiny bit...

I'd put him around the 5, 6, 7 area as far as centers go. Sid. Malkin. Getzlaf. Tavares. Stamkos. Maybe Giroux. Maybe Thorton.

Ottawa hasn't hit the wall. Three goals (so far) in the third period, up 4-2 on San Jose with about five minutes left.

So the Blackhawks have scored 5 goals in 4 games, and lose 4-1 to the Phlyiers. I guess they should just give up this year, too, because they'll get bounced in the first round for sure?

They're finished.
