The deal would have fallen apart without that 4th.

Most trade proposals on this board center around those!

I feel like Petry is going to be a Penguin by the deadline. Rutherford said he wanted to add a top 9 forward (Winnik) and a defenseman.

I hope so; can't take any chance of an injury putting Bort in the lineup.tfrizz wrote:I feel like Petry is going to be a Penguin by the deadline. Rutherford said he wanted to add a top 9 forward (Winnik) and a defenseman.

I think they are going to send Pouliot down after this game, so he can be eligible for the AHL playoffs.columbia wrote:I hope so; can't take any chance of an injury putting Bort in the lineup.tfrizz wrote:I feel like Petry is going to be a Penguin by the deadline. Klingberg's a decent prospect, but Winnipeg is stocked...Kovy27 wrote:Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie now5 seconds ago View translation

Re: 2014-15 Non-Pens Transactions
Critics of Rutherford going all in...check out the Rangers situation...the Rangers are going in win now mode. They are going to face some major cap issues next year similar to the Bruins this year. Theyre all in for now
They just resigned Zuccarello. They signed Staal to a long term contract with a significant increase. They have to resign in the offseason...Stepan, Hagelin and St. Louis. Oh and they gave up one of their best young prospects in Duclair, who I think is going to be very good.
Nothing wrong with it, they just recognized that their chance is now. Its worth the risk. No award for just being "pretty good" every year.

St. Louis won't be back. They could easily move Stepan and/or Hagelin with them being RFAs. I'm sort of surprised they didn't try to move Girardi in the ARZ deal.BleuLineLady wrote:Critics of Rutherford going all in...check out the Rangers situation...the Rangers are going in win now mode. Yes, thats my point, something has to give...somebody important will probably be traded.Kovy27 wrote:St. Louis won't be back. They could easily move Stepan and/or Hagelin with them being RFAs. For 2, 2nds. Which is pretty darn close to a first and third. So Stevie Y gets Coburn for Connolly and Gudas. Not too shabby. Dude can GM.

Overpayment big time there. Coburn isn't that good in my book. First round pick? Flyers are loading up.SolidSnake wrote:Braydon Coburn to #TBLightning for 1st-round pick, 3rd-round pick and Radko Gudas.

Re: 2014-15 Non-Pens Transactions
Tampa's defense is Hedman & a bunch of fringe top 4 d-men (Stralman, Coburn, Carle, Garrison, even Sustr). I can't decide if that's a good thing or not.
