No idea but I love watching Chopped, Iron Chef (the original. All they do in the American Iron Chef is make ice cream) and Good Eats

Also, any show that has a robotic assembly line. Like how they make mass produced candy. It's like a drug for me
I just get hungry watching them. And i have self control. It seems like fat people that cant help themselves would eat themselves to death if they left the food channel on.

Woohoo!

Just saw that QI is coming to BBC America starting Thursday. Probably my favorite show of all time.

I was googling to find if GF has some kind of significant stake in the network, and found this:

At least you guys aren't alone. If they want my viewership, then MOAR Giada.

My wife is sick and vegging on the couch all day today. She decided to take in 7hrs of Sister Wives. Is there anyone here that wants to defend this show? It's bad. Bad.

Gotham
Spoiler:
Great episode...the circus angle was pretty meh, but wow, I'm assuming that was our first look at a young Joker? Thought that young actor did a great job with the role. I'm also fairly convinced that Gordon's current squeeze is going to die at some point. Also, a nice cameo from Mike Margolis.

Spoiler:
1. Cameron Monaghan (Jerome) absolutely nailed the role of the young (future) Joker.

2. Dr Thompkins is actually a part of the comic canon and plays a role in the storyline of many of Gotham's criminals. Plus you don't bring in an actress like Morena Baccarin for just a few episodes. Her role is likely to be minimized when Jim and Barbara get back together, but they won't get rid of her completely.

3. I believe you mean Mark Margolis ;)

Good choices. The other pilots pretty much sucked.

I'm kind of sad the civil-war era one wasn't picked up but I get it. Excited that Man in High Castle got picked up though.

Saw this promo'd watching the most recent episode of Top Gear. QI is one of the best shows ever. It's a tough format - you either like it or you don't - and very British, but don't think I've ever watched a show and not had at least two or three good belly laughs.

We had a discussion about GF in the Cooks thread a short while ago. He's absolutely terrible, the vanguard of the decline of cooking on TV.

That said, it's never not a good time to read 'the menu' at his restaurant...

I read somewhere that the NYT absolutely burned down his Times Square restaurant in a scathing review. I should dig that up for the comedy.

"Did you discern any buttermilk or brine in the white meat, or did you think it tasted like chewy air?"

Whole review is posed as a series of questions like that. Basically, 1,000+ words of "Do you have any idea how much you suck?"
