Re: Other NHL games 2014-2015 season
Islanders lose 3 in a row...yes, yes yes! haha I watched a portion of the game...Islanders fans are very passionate, chanting throughout but then they get impatient and frustrated I noticed and start booing their players intermittently when things dont go their way. Its a mix between cheering and booing...kinda odd. Theyre very demanding...they should just be happy their team is exceeding expectations right now and realize they cant win every night.

Hawks're getting stomped by the Wild tonight too.
The Wild making a big comeback in the 2nd half would make an already clogged race for 8th place in the West even more interesting.

More teams in it for the playoffs is good for the league, bad for the Penguins...need more teams out of it to have as trade partners.Avyran wrote:Hawks're getting stomped by the Wild tonight too.

Interesting to see how different the feel of an Isles vs Flyers game is, as opposed to the Pens vs either team. Still physical, but doesn't seem intense at all.

Johnny Boychuk just had to be helped off the ice after taking a puck to the knee. Unable to put any weight on it.
That'd be a huge blow to the Isles.

It's also great to see the islanders struggle this much.
Not enjoying seeing the flyers win games, though.

Think Nathan Mackinnon just had his first fight in the NHL, versus Jonathan frickin' Ericsson.

The Flyers have made up a lot of ground and are now 10 points out of the second wild card. Doable by the first week of April, I think, if Mason keeps putting the team on his back.pens2005 wrote:It's also great to see the islanders struggle this much.

The Flyers blew a 2-goal lead in 2 minutes' time at the end of the 2nd. I'd like the Isles to win tonight, actually. The Flyers need to cool off. But it's heading to being a 3-point game.

Whereas I'd like the Flyers to win to push them further & further away from a top 5 pick.

Duly noted, and admirable.Avyran wrote:Whereas I'd like the Flyers to win to push them further & further away from a top 5 pick.
I just want them to close this hot home stand of theirs on a sour note. Then they resume losing to the Caps and Habs this weekend.

Ah well, they still get a point. Plus, Kimmo Timonen is cleared to skate--emotional lift.Avyran wrote: Deal, haha.
Now 9 out of the second WC. I thought they'd never see single digits. I hope the Caps and Habs murdelize 'em. Pens now have got to take care of their own business.

Re: Other NHL games 2014-2015 season
I just caught the end of that Panthers/Kings game...Kings lose it late...I know they just kind of idle for a while and then get hot and get moving at the right time...they live for the postseason, but man, they're in trouble, eh? They're 12th in the Campbell Conference right now...it's February 5th...this is going to be tough, there's a lot of clubs to leapfrog...

If Kings didn't make playoffs, that'd really be something.
And with teams like the Wild making a strong push, it's a definite possibility.

The Kings look like a tired team. Lots of hockey over the last 3 years for them.

The Leafs and Oilers are both bloody awful.

I love when the Leafs are bad. The media is such a circus up there. The change their minds like the wind. One week Kessel is the problem. Then Nonis. Then Carlye. Then Kessel again. Then their centers suck. Then it is Dion.

lol, NHL refs.
How do you break a stick of another guy at the faceoff dot long before the puck drop and not get penalized? (NYI/BOS)

Why? Strome didn't purposefully delay the game.
