What say ye on lagunitas cappuccino stout? I was pleasantly surprised to get a bomber for $4.50 at the store today.

I got one of last year's cappuccino stouts and had it the first week that it was cold in the fall. It's good stuff.

It was good, not great. They toned down the ABV to give the vanilla and caramel tastes more of a front row seat.stopper40 wrote:

A friend of mine also brought over Dogfish Head Red and White. That was a pretty enjoyable beer.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
I had a beer at a local brewery the other day that really threw me off. It was an ale and had a yellow color like the photo below, but tasted so heavy and chocolaty, it was a real eye/mouth confusion. First it was on nitro, so that probably made it feel heavier, and second it was aged over cocoa nibs and bourbon soaked vanilla beans. I only had one as it was too confusing for me and switched to their very good double IPA they have, but it was an interesting experience.

TWC, if you're still looking for a brown ale, Wynona's Big Brown Ale from Voodoo is excellent. Almost tastes like a porter.
On another note, Love Child is also good. They open for reals tomorrow at 12. Homestead.

I don't technically need a brown ale anymore, but I'll keep an eye out for it.
Currently enjoying a Troegenator.

Not that I would expect it to be stellar or anything, but has anyone tried the New Belgium Grand Gru?

4 Hands Pyrus Saison. :thumb:
Saison brewed with white peppercorns, pear juice, and orange peel. Reminds me of Sofie.

Had Blackout Stout on tap at trivia bar. Excellent stuff.
Also found out they had Nugget Nectar, so it was definitely a fun evening.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Stone Brewing Collaboration series, Japanese Green Tea IPA.
First off, the label lists this at 10.1% ABV, so this is actually a double IPA. The nose has a subtle sweet tea smell. The taste is bold hops, sweet and malty tea flavor and then a tiny bit of the alcohol.
This is rerelease offering of this product and a second time winner. Good stuff.
