What's more amazing is to look at their stat lines and wonder how theyre doing it...Corsi, posession stats are very good, but bottom line stat numbers are not very good:
4th in goals scored
21st in goals against
14th in powerplay conversion
28th on the penalty kill
The intangibles are there...theyve also won almost of their overtime and shootout contests which skews it slightly, but yes, no doubt theyre good.

Carlo Colaiacovo injured again, this time on a trip by Kulemin that was not called (not intentional, but a pretty obvious trip). Isles scored almost immediately after.

I would never wish injury on a player, but he were injured due to a very obvious slewfoot and/or boarding penalty, I'm not sure how bad I would feel for him.

It's nice to see Jay Bo thrive on a good team.

I looked at the goal highlights from the Isles/Flyers. Grabner, Kulemin, Tavares goals... wow. They attack well. Finally have a goalie and the two D-men they signed have been good. It's not a surprise we're having issues.

It's nuts that only 7 points separate 1st and 8th in the Eastern Conference.

Why would any goalie want to play in an NHL All Star game?

I'm hoping we get a genius on this board to argue for trading fleury based on his all-star game performance.

If they're that good I bet they could find them without leaving town. I guess the recognition is nice (unless you're a replacement) and the skills stuff might be fun but I suspect some of them would rather have the time off.

I have it on, but I'm not paying much attention. That's 4 more saves than I would have guessed.
