If you say so.
Much like the nonsense in the Sandusky thread, I can't let certain things slide. Saying thom yorke has a bad voice is one of those things.

Weiland might have a good voice. Dunno. Eddie has a voice that I really like, though it's not great on a technical level.FreeCandy44 wrote:Who in rock do you classify as having a good voice?
Plenty of heavier guys have good voices. That's not my objection.

If were going best vocals in rock, a few come to mind, Vedder, Cornell, Layne from AIC, espically Josh from QOTSA. Josh might be my fav out of all of them.

Don't get me wrong, I think he's a great singer. There's just something there that annoys the **** out of me.

Because Freddie mercury is a normal person to bring into a 90's alt rock discussion.
Let's keep the scope of this under control.

FC44 said 'rock'. If he meant 90s alt, then excuse me for not being a mind readershmenguin wrote:Because Freddie mercury is a normal person to bring into a 90's alt rock discussion.

Keeping with the 90s alt talk...how do yinz feel about William D taking over for Layne in AIC? I think he sings the old stuff well but im not a fan of all that much of the newer AIC.

They have two things working against them: not having Layne and getting old. Musicians are never as good 20+ years after they debut so its pretty expected.FreeCandy44 wrote:Keeping with the 90s alt talk...how do yinz feel about William D taking over for Layne in AIC? Cantrell is the real heart of the band (don't get me wrong, I love Layne, but Cantrell wrote most of the songs and is a very underrated guitarist) but its just too tough at this point

Dirt is still one of my favorite albums front to back. Speaking of Layne...Mad Season is playing in Seattle with their symphony. Id kill to go to that. Cornell and McCready from PJ? Yes....

Saw them at King's Rook, an Erie bar, in 91. Incredible show with maybe 300 people there.
