Actually they do not...
According to the listed ingredients on the McDonald's website at least.

Cookies or other desserts made with margarine or other oils instead of butter.

Agreed. The right bread and butter combo is simplistic food perfection.Factorial wrote:Heresy. Butter is one of the finer pleasures in life.Rylan wrote:Butter is gross.

What? I'm not waking up at 5 so I can take butter out for 6. This is the silliest thing I've ever heard.tifosi77 wrote:Hence the 'take out what you need an hour or so before you need it' bit.Pavel Bure wrote:BUTTER IN THE FRIDGE IS NOT SOFT!!!!
How much butter do you use that it affects your daily salt intake?
Any amount of salt you ingest affects your salt intake, but that's not why I made the comment. The role of salt in cooking is multi-layered, and use of too much of it in ingredients (as opposed to being added as a seasoning by itself) makes keeping the balance and interplay of flavors harder.

You can't find restaurants that use salted butter in their kitchen. It's in the little packets they give you for bread, and that's it. Not that mcdonalds is a "restaurant"...just a note.Crankshaft wrote:tifosi77 wrote:Hence the 'take out what you need an hour or so before you need it' bit.Pavel Bure wrote:BUTTER IN THE FRIDGE IS NOT SOFT!!!!

I wonder if they use salted butter on the McRibb.

Movie "remakes" or "reboots".
I know why they do it, but you cant touch the original. I want to see the original movie I liked (Evil Dead) not the reboot (Evil Dead 2013). You cant recreate the old movie and make it better.

Not entirely true... I worked for a place that more often than not had salted butter. I don't think anyone would have confused it with fine dining to be sure. Pretty sure they just bought whatever was on sale from their purveyors.shmenguin wrote:You can't find restaurants that use salted butter in their kitchen. Maltese Falcon and The Thing come to mind as exceptions. I'll try to think of more.FreeCandy44 wrote:Movie "remakes" or "reboots".

I don't bake, so I don't bother with unsalted butter.

If you're a jogger and there's snow everywhere so you're in the middle of the road, it's my obligation to not run you over. I'm not obligated to make you feel safe by pulling over or slowing to a crawl. So stop yelling at cars and find a better route, dingus.

Hearing about every time Marc Andre Fleury blinks his eyes at all-star weekend. Thank God Crosby and Malkin aren't there or it would be 3 fold.

Unsalted butter at room temperature takes two weeks to go rancid.
