Probably because they feel a lot closer to wine than beer, triples are excellent for deglazing a pan.

Man, I'd seriously lick the floor at Jolly Pumpkin if they told me it tasted like the funk in their beers.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Finally broke open the bottle of Sweet Baby Jesus from our beer exchange. Actually surprised it wasn't completely awful. Definitely tasted normal, but with a slight creamy feel on the backend that IMO elevated the chocolate taste.

Anyone ever have anything from De Garde brewing? My buddy was in Oregon and picked up a couple bottles. Not sure what he got me, but I've heard good things about them.

Finally got around to trying the Purple Monkey Dishwasher by Evil Genius, that I got in a beer exchange last month. Was surprisingly good, definitely better than Sweet Baby Jesus.

Sierra Nevada, Nooner. Light golden yellow Pilsner, perfect balance of malt to hops. Where a normal Pilsner leaves you looking for more than simple flavors, this puts the hops in at the end to add a bit of oooomp. Poured on draught. Early release?

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
A lot of high-ish ABV offerings. I think I only saw 1 thing on their board that had an ABV lower than 7 (their session ale, 4.5%). White Magick of the Sun is an imperial wit and is pretty good. Their RIS (Big Black Voodoo Daddy) is also pretty good. They were only offering White Magick and Killapilz (which is a hoppy pilsner) at the volunteer set-up event last week, but I've heard good things about their other beers.

Anyone ever use a stainless steel growler? Any thoughts on them compared to glass?

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
to me a growler is a growler... it's meant for pretty immediate consumption, so the vessel doesn't make a huge difference. Maybe for taking it to places that doesn't allow glass, like a beach or something?

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
that's pretty much what I thought, more of a convenience for travel. I wasn't sure if it held better or anything like that?
When I was at the beer distributor I saw ST 2xone is out. Last years mosaic single was excellent, they went with Equinox this year. Looking forward to trying this.
