I don't doubt this at all but if it really takes ~45 episodes to find it's place I'm not sure I can last that long.

I actually watched the seasons backwards...II watched it somewhat regularly into season three on TV then it just dropped out of my consciousness. Then recently I wanted to watch again, started with the current season, then watched 5,4,3. Started season 2 but couldn't get into it.

I would suggest just starting from season three.

That's funny, because I think it nosedived when Rob Lowe showed up at the end of S2. I didn't watch much farther beyond that. I'll watch the rest of it someday, when I'm done watching everything else.

I think it coincides with when Andy's role is solidified. Here's how I would rank the characters.

And Jam is the best peripheral character.
He was good, but I was partial to Jean-Ralphio.

Amazon has launched their pilot season and there is a ton of shows this year. The ones that look interesting to me:

Point of Honor - takes place at the beginning of the Civil War and is written and directed by the guy who did Braveheart
Cocked - dramedy about a family with a gun business; recognizable cast (Sam Trammel, Jason Lee, Brian Dennehy, Laura Fraser), but the only one that matters is Diora Baird
Mad Dogs - comedy from Shawn Ryan (The Shield) with a very impressive cast (Romany Malco, Michael Imperioli, Billy Zane, Steve Zahn)
Down Dog - makes fun of LA's yoga culture. There's no way that can be a bad thing
The Man in the High Castle - this is the one that really piques my interest, based on Philip K. Dick's novel where the Allied Forces lost WWII, leaving Japan and Germany to rule the US.

January 9, 2015, Deadline.com reported that an 8 episode miniseries based on the film had begun shooting for release on Netflix. Almost the entire cast of the original film will be returning, along with Showalter and Wain.
Well, it looks like they've got everyone back and then some, and are indeed going with the bonkers "prequel" premise.

This is going to be amazing. And if they weren't going to do the "10 years later, why don't we say 9:30 and you make it your BEESWAX to be here at 9:30" story, a prequel is ridiculously perfect.

I'm suddenly addicted to Inside Amy Schumer. Not sure what brought this on. Binging on Amazon Prime.

Her skits are pretty good. Her stand up isn't. So she probably has better writers than her working for the show.

Also, workaholics was great. Maybe there's hope they'll get on the right track.

Aziz is quite funny. I enjoy most of his stand up. I should throw this in the IPP thread, but there's a reason he's where he is today just as with any famous comedian. They have a target audience and if you don't find that person funny, guess what? You're not the target audience.

Watched half of Man in the High Castle. Very well done, high production value, well cast etc. So far, pretty true to the book.

Interested in whether or not it becomes a miniseries or a regular series. It was shot as a miniseries for SyFy, but Amazon picked up at least the pilot.

Finished S2 of House of Cards
Spoiler:
I pretty much predicted from the start of the season that he would be president by Season 3, and here we are. I enjoyed the storylines, etc, but my one gripe with the show was that his victory was seriously never in doubt. Even when they tried to plant seeds of a possible downfall, you knew full well the Underwoods would find a way to bury someone else.

I'm hoping (and assuming) that Season 3 is going to start to bring some of that long-awaited and anticipated heat, probably involving Rachel Posner, the death of his chief of staff, and that hacker.
