Ehh, that's a type of hit that is legal, but very dangerous. Cooke throws it all the time (when he stepped on Karlsson's Achilles). You go shoulder to shoulder and put your thigh into their thigh and dump them. It's technically not a slewfoot, but just as dirty.

So help me, the Pens had better lay a solid beatdown at Wells Fargo Center on the 20th. The Flyers are horrid right now. Lost at home to both the Caps 1-0 and to the Canucks 4-0. There's no excuse to lose to those clowns.

My friend and I have a bet as to whether Hextall fires Berube and has DB behind the Flyers' bench before the 20th. I say it could happen. Such a spiteful, unlikable (being kind) organIzation.

The rangers had a couple nice wins on their run, but it was mostly piling up points against trash water. Not surprised to see them come back to earth.

Officiating is horrible around the league. San Jose Leafs game is a nice example of that.

I don't know if I agree with this statement completely. During their run, they beat:

Pittsburgh, Vancouver, Washington, Anaheim, LA, SJ. That's 6 quality wins out of 13 wins over 14 game stretch.

Excellent explanation. About halfway through the video, I was afraid they weren't going to bring up the amount of force and the dangerous distance from the boards. Glad they got to all the points that made it a very dangerous play.

I like the Isles, and think they're a really exciting team. But they also lost to the Canucks, Oilers, and barely beat the Flames & Devils before going on this hot streak of beating the Rangers & Pens (before losing to the Habs). Next week's game for them vs. the Rangers will be a really interesting game.

That being said, it's always satisfying to see the Flyers lose like this.
