I watched it today too (along with ep. 1 of season 2). I thought it was pretty funny and interesting, but two points:
Spoiler:
a. I kept imagining the PM was gonna go Patrick Bateman while doing the do and flexing in front of a mirror and b. I couldnt understand why the wife was so no understanding of it. She was embarrassed? That he saved the princess' life? I'm kind of confused...

Girls is back this Sunday (Jan. 11). I really liked the first season, but the second was absolute garbage. It'll be interesting to see which season was the fluke.

Spoiler:
I've watched it twice, and she's really very concerned with how people are perceiving her. Like the crude comments in Youtube. Her character cares about her, not him. It's why she sticks with him on the outside, as the stoic PMs wife, but is a complete ***** behind closed doors. She's a user like everyone else. I don't think there is very much actual sexual conflict there at all.

I'm going to guess the first season was the fluke.

Going out on a limb, huh?

My wife binged Girls over the summer, so I caught a good bit of it. I think my problem with it is the sense that we're supposed to rooting for these characters even though they're incredibly irritating. Some shows make their main characters unlikable, but does this purposefully to unsettle the audience and make us question whether or not we should be rooting for them (e.g. Breaking Bad). Girls seems to think the main characters have minor flaws (which contribute to their awesome quirkiness), but overall, are likable, good-natured people just trying to make their way in this crazy world.

I've never seen Girls, but I can't imagine I'd enjoy it. That's fine. I'm not in its target demographic.

Aside from that, I have an intense dislike for Lena Dunham that I'd have a hard time getting past while watching the show

Ironically, the male characters are far more interesting and likable than the "Girls." Adam Driver is great.

I saw part of an episode and found myself wishing the show were real and that its characters could die a slow and painful death.

Archer season opener was OK. Some good lines, storyline not bad. Will take a few eps to get traction.

Finished up season 2 of Twin Peaks. The season definitely ended well. Loved the last episode. Knowing there's a new season coming next year on Showtime made Laura's prediction that "I'll see you again in 25 years" pretty darned cool considering it will be 25 years since the show went off the air.

How many underage kids party at Verdant in Arrow?

Also, Det. Lance occasionally distracts me with his passing resemblance of Mark Ruffalo.
