Drank from a pint glass poured from a bottle at the Beerhive in Pittsburgh. Pours an off-putting red color with minimal white head. Tastes like the candy" Red Hots" decent beer worth the try.
Admittedly, the aroma is pleasant....apple pie. unfortunately, nothing else is pleasant. This is the worst beer I have ever sampled. It is so over spiced, I almost vomited. It tastes of watered-down cinnamon snapps. Utterly u drinkable.
I must have it.

My favorite part was the review was from the Beehive (used to be a primo spot for whippets). Arn City and Beehive, a match made in heaven.

That's the Beerhive, not the Beehive. The Beerhive is a pretty solid spot in the Strip on Penn Ave. with a nice beer list.

They also have Beerhives in Sewickley and Millvale, if I'm not mistaken.

I had a friend in high school that went to the Beehive occasionally. Did they have viewings of Rocky Horror Picture Show there?

I'm pretty sure there used to be a beehive theater in Oakland? The Beehive (strip joint) on 22 is still there.

Looks like it was the now closed Beehive Theater in Oakland. http://cinematreasures.org/theaters/9639" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The Beehive used to be in the old King's Court theatre building in Oakland. I think it's now a hospital uniform store.

Interesting beer mule article

Beer trading has been wonderful for me to try stuff that's not around here, but it's things like this is where it can be problematic:

but the ultimate question is, is it good for beer? If you’re an Average Joe who was unable to land any Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout this year, you’d probably be upset to learn that a Beerz 4 Fearz Chicago operative spent most of November going around to area retailers offering to buy their entire allotment for 20% over cost—so long as they would assure him the beer would never hit their shelves. While you were scrounging for a meager four-pack, he acquired literally thousands of bottles

Had To Ol's Frost Bite. Not bad at all. Certainly not a beer I'd go nuts trying to find, but very drinkable. It had some nice big bold flavors, and it said "spiced" but I didn't really get anything that reminded me of a spiced ale (like the winter warmers kind of spice). Very lemony. Too bad it was a one time thing from that company.

Had that last night. Phenomenal. Impossibly smooth for 11%. Made with the coffee beans that civetcats poop out (as in that movie with Jack Nicholson).

What do you guys usually pay for growler fill ups? I was shocked when I tried to get a local bar that has a decent list on draughts and they were asking $35-$40. Are you kidding me?!?!? You can goto Southern Tier Brewery and get one for $7.

It depends on the beer and the location. Remember that if you're paying at a local bar, you're paying for convenience that it's right there close to you. For example, most beers at the bar right next to my place are $15-20. I can go downtown though, and go to the bottle shop where they have growler fills and get the same one for $10.

Nice, where was that? The BG Breakfast is great too.
